Creating account and activation key

I use a yahoo email address and apparently a yahoo email is not valid to create an account. Where can i go to make a email address that is valid for sign up. Also where can i go to order an activation key?

Yea I Don't know why they do that but if you have an ISP email address, you can do that and forward the newsletter about the game to the one you actually use :P

I don't have an activation key right now , but can i continue to create an account at this very moment and then have my check ready to send for a activation key? Or would i have to have the activation key first then make an account?
