How do you gain rank other than killing people.

-Score is now based on kills, tasks and RTB status
-All kills are scored as a relative value of your vehicle based on RDP
-Kills of equal value are worth 10 points
-Kills have a maximum value of 40 points each
-Tasks are scored as follows:
1 point for each infantry that mobile spawns
1 point for damaging enemy AI
10 points for damaging ABO bridge(s)
10 points for repairing DBO bridge(s)
10 points for damaging factory(s)
10 points for damaging firebase(s)
-Final score is modified by your RTB status
100% of score if RTB
90% of score if rescued
75% of score if MIA
50% of score if KIA
I believe you can also gain rank by capturing flags, although that wasn't in the readme.

how much are points worth in terms of percentage?
( 10 points = ?% of rank)
the reason i ask is because in the past 10 days or less i got 73 kills with a fair mix of kia/mia and rtb and my rank percentage went up by only 22%. it would also be fair to assume there was a broad balance of weapon choice from rifles to panzers with the kills. (Im a qm sergeant)
(is this normal?)
I would really like to see a more comprehensive layout of how the scores in the game actually work and what it means to the player in an easier format.
any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

Ive been playing for a few weeks now and these point requirements seem a little excessive to me..

I think the idea is to make it difficult...
But you should be able to spawn/use everything with about 2-3 months play.
Make it too easy and you'd get 9000000 Generals trying to order 1 private what to do perhaps.

We used to have that problem, in the old rank system.
In the new rank and role/responsibility system, the maximum-weapons-access level will be senior non-coms--the top of the enlisted class, which does the bulk of the direct fighting--and junior officers, the bottom and middle of the combat-mission command class. As rank increases above that level, players will move into the staff/strategic command class, where they will have other responsibilities than direct fighting, and very likely they eventually will have much less access to weapons.
So, if maximal access to weapons is your only goal, as opposed to mission or unit command, you don't actually have that many ranks to climb.
Only thing is, a "king-of-the-hill" system is coming for the upper rank levels in each class. Thus, if the current game population on a given side calls for 150 Sargeant Majors (or equivalent), the 150 top points-level candidates for that rank will get or keep it.
It'll be a much more realistic system than 900000 generals ordering around 1 private.
