  1. My framerates aren't the best in this game, actually. When there's a low number of people it's fine. But if there's more than 20 or so, it drops to around 20-30. Rather funny, considering I can run Crysis maxed out at a decent framerate.
  2. I tried the omega drivers last night - worse performance over the Nvidia drivers on my 8800GTS 320MB.
  3. Yeah, the new drivers are good. But honestly, if you're just updating now, that's pretty bad You should really be checking for new drivers (for all peripherals) at least once a week. Just takes a sec to look at the site. It's the best way to ensure optimal performance for your whole PC
  4. What's the average number of players you have online at a given time? Me and a few buddies are looking for a good allied squad, but we're trying to find one that has at least 4-5 active players on a given night.

  7. If you're on your PC a lot, regardless of gaming, I'd suggest an ergonomic keyboard. The Micrsoft Ergonomic 4000 is the best keyboard I've used. Sturdy, comfortable and has great tactil feedback on the keys. It doesn't have fancy backlighting and such, but that's just gimmicky anyways. Go ergo, otherwise you'll be hurtin' with RMI later on.
  8. The 8600's are no good, if you ask me. The best card you can bet imo, is the 8800GTS 320MB. Starts around $270, and actually performs better in some cases, than the 640MB version.
  9. I picked up the Barracuda AC-1 from Amazon a few weeks ago (had an old Audigy card). No regrets. Runs great, and no sound crackling like my Creative card.
  10. - Uninstall the Nvidia drivers via the control panel - Reboot - download/install/run a program called Driver Cleaner - Install new drivers - Reboot - Done.
  11. I'm getting 580KB/sec from the FTP. Get a better connection.
  12. Did some tests for the 7950GX2 owners out there. It can be a very picky card, and seeing as how Nvidia seems to neglect it nowadays, it can be hard finding a good driver for it. Forceware: 93.71 ---------- WW2OL Performance: Crap 3dmark06: 7940 96.89 ---------- WW2OL Performance: Decent 3dmark06: 7955 93.81 ---------- WW2OL Performance: Better than decent 3dmark06: 7969 91.47 ---------- WW2OL Performance: Decent 3dmark06: 7949 97.95 ---------- WW2OL Performance: Good 3dmark06: 7975 91.63 ---------- WW2OL Performance: Great 3dmark06: 7980 Of all the drivers tested, the 91.63 drivers gave the best results. Running in SLI (AFR mode), 4xAA, 8xAF, single-core. You can adjust a lot of settings if you use nHancer (link posted above). Hope that helps some of you out there.
