  2. I think the 1.31 must have fixed loads of code problems because the beta works fine with my dual latest generation ATI cards in crossfire (5870's I think). But I had dual Nvidia before and while I could play for a while, it would eventually crash. I resubbed a few months ago for 1.31 but it's still in beta and as slow as it's going will probably be summer before it's out so I unsubbed as $14.95 a month to post in this forum is a bit rich (since I can't play). I didn't ask for a refund tho, maybe I should, but dang it just release 1.31 to the prod servers CRS and get off your *ss and do some work. You got your Christmas break, now it's time to do a (painful) release cycle!
  3. Check this out! WWII Online on triple displays. New beta seems to work great.
  4. Update on the Alienware with duel ATI HD5870 in CrossfileX mode. The new beta download works fine, and I am reporting my framerates. It's just the current prod game that is busted. I think you fixed whatever memory writing issues exist in the current prod game, at least well enough to finish your beta performance test. S! I've unsubbed after being subbed for a few months to wait until the release, but I think I still am paid up until Jan 1 or so if you want me to do more testing on these 5870's. - SR1
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions, I cannot do the OS uninstall/reinstall (I still work for a living ). I did try offline mode and it crashed as soon as it started. As far as pulling one of the cards, I'm not willing to do that at this point as again, don't really want do to major surgery. This is a brand new machine (Dell Alienware thing, not custom built.) All other games (Dirt 2 DirectX 11, Team Fortress 2, etc.) all play great with great framerates. It could be rarely used driver API calls that WWII Online uses that are the bugs. I do know they had to fix a bug in Dirt2 where the CrossfireX mode was not engaging (just using one card). It still feels like it's problems with malloc/writing memory in bad places in the game code, but I will wait for more driver updates and WWIIOnline 1.31 before doing any of the above major surgery. Thanks for the suggestions though and for most I guess it's fixed. S!
  6. Update: I never made it as far as the first try. It always seems to crash at the "initializing objects" part of the progress bar. If there is anything else I can help with let me know.
  7. If I can provide more info. I have dual 5870 cards with crossfile on SE executable off. I will try some other way and report if I have any success.
  8. I have dual 5870 (I think) cards in crossfire mode and cannot play BE (even though I recently resubbed to play the new release)... The truth is, I had dual NVIDIA cards and the game would crash with those as well. I pretty certain there are many memory leaks/out of bounds writes/etc. in the video/game code in BE. Mostly probably related to the map code (which also resides in the heads up display). **** I think that the rats need to invest in some memory read/write checking software like purify or bounds checker and knock out their memory writing bugs. **** As a hint to the rats, before I upgraded to this box, I noticed the NVIDIA box would crash with out of memory errors when I zoomed in on the game map. It would also have long pauses (I assume because it's writing/moving huge blocks of memory around that it probably shouldn't) if I brought up the in game map and had it zoomed in. If I zoomed it out, it would speed up, so another clue is I think there are memory problems when the map is zoomed in. I ran high resolution 1920x1200x32, so maybe the memory problems vary by resolution and color depth. Anything I can do to help I will. I have the hardware that currently doesn't work. I own visual studio 2005/2008/2010beta. Just let me know if I can help debug.
  9. What is ccc and how do I remove it?
