  1. I did driver sweep of the old NVIDIA files and drivers, fresh 9.9 cat installed (first time). ATImkdag errors all over newer games and it's not just my series of card. Seems ATI still hasn't gotten thier driver problems solved. After 4 successive ATI cards with hosts of errors I really enjoyed the NVIDIA drivers in comparison. NVIDIA still gets recovery errors in games like Red Faction Guerrilla but so does ATI and that seems to be coding error on the RFG Devs.
  2. Without my keymapper settings the game is useless to me. BTW that wouldn't be a driver problem, that would be a problem with CRS's last patch or an unintended change. I had to RMA my BFG 295 H2OCBE, it didn't have a problem but my older ATI 2900 HD XT with 1 gig of DDR5 does, which I have to use till Monday. I'm thinking that maybe you were expierncing a different problem with maybe a corrupt or wrongly edited CFML file.
  3. I think he's getting hit by a 2nd bug, the memory crashes now.
  4. kill thread, I posted in the Memory crash thread. It's a smartheap error.
  5. Yeah I'm getting this with Smartheap errors. It's using 1.88 Gigs of memory, I have 6 Gigs but it still crashes.
  6. I keep getting an app crash at every death. just wondering if it's a known problem or if I'm "special".
  7. That can be true of some Rigs but most single card rigs can't get 40FPS in Crysis (Enthusist settings, 16Xq) max settings at 1920X1080 like mine. Right now most of that is the 295 and not the X58 board and proc, the 1.8G of the 295 will want some board RAM if your playing graphics intensive shooters, wwiiol not so much. Water cooled Bloomfields are easily hitting 5.3Ghz marks on some better water coolers. I hit 18k approx on 3DVantage but I'm not OC'n the proc yet till i get a better cooler and that's only 1 295. There are some serious 32k scores with 3-295s and peltier or phase change collers getting 5.5Ghz. All that means little until apps can handle that much proccesing power, I know.
  8. While true of the i7 920 the i7 like my 975 needs some major cooling but once you have it 3Dmark has plenty of 5+Ghz 975s. I had to remove my i7 from the water cooler because it couldn't cool the cards and Proc at the same time. Prolimatech's new Megahalems are HUGE heatsinks designed for the i7, a 120mm fan comes optional and it's a traditonal air flow cooler using heatpipes. (yeah it's real big). I am going to go with a CoolIT Systems Freezone Elite water and peltier cooler for the proc, phase change is stupid expensive. Fallsjager With the i7 your going to need a slightly more expensive X58 board but it's ability to upgrade is major compared to the X38 775 socket boards. Up to 24 Gigs in triple channel. I got the Asus P6T7 but I can run 12 Gigs at 2.0Ghz FSB or 1.866Ghz with 24 Gigs, it however is a $420.00 board, most run at 1.6-1.3Ghz and run around $200. It runs DDR3 memory like most X38 boards do now.
  9. Whole new setup on brand new machine, there shoudln't be any old drivers as I DL the latest catylst from ATI instead of from the CD sent from ATI. My DXDiag relating to Vid. EDIT: These DXdiag files are huge, it would take 3 posts to show it. 10. I keep getting these odd bugs, I can only see 3D objects render, everything else is white screen unless I turn and then the 2d objects are all a jumbled mess.
  11. Thank you Scone, much good will to you
  12. OK I use a X52 JS and it runs fine. My problem is I want to use the stick and be able to use the mouse for fine tuning with the turret. Now I know many people use it but SgtSpoon doesn't have a CFML for it that I can find. I used to have it but I upgraded my PC and it won't recognize my IDE hard drive on the new board (All SATA save the IDE for optical drives like a DVD ROM). I got it to almost work, I can use the mouse but the cannon elevation is not inverted and if I try to invert it the JS has a conflict and the gun wants to traverse down constantly. Maybe CRS should have a sticky for files, I know they aren't hardware exclusive so any joy stick user could use them. I'm pretty sure all tanks had a manual traverse for spot aiming and incase their hydraulics or electrical turret drives went down.
  13. I use the 6850, I just got it and a Rosewill 950W PS with a combo buy for 389.00 approx. You can get the 6850 for 289.00 USD quite the bargain compared to the other EE and quad core Procs. Right now I'm scoring high 10k in 3dMark but I've not hooked up my water Exos water cooler yet and running everything a factory settings. FSB is 1333MHZ with 2 gigs of 1600 DDR3 sticks, vid card is a 1 GB DDR4 Sapphire 2900XT at 514MHZ not OC'd. I bought it all save tower, monitor, and optical drives for 1897.00, not bad when the Alien ware without monitor using 800 Mhz generic Mem sticks sells for 5,297.00. The only thing the Alien has that I don't is a large 500GN 7200 RPM HD while I use a WD Raptor 10k 150 and an extra 8800 card. EDIT: You need to check procs especially with Intel. You can get a better proc for a cheaper prices when comparing some of the EE and procs that share 4-6 megs of L2 cache. A EE 6800 sells for approx 500.00 USD but the E6850 sells for under 300.00 and has a better performance.
  14. Were not only US players though. Most of us are from the US, Canada, and Australia but we have several from Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, Brazil, Germany, France, Sweden and generally all over. Our times are usually best suited to Pacific coast US times but we have many on at all times of the day.
  15. Well with 3rd Panzer just request a LOA. If you just start playing Allied with no word then yeah we kick the player.
