  2. ccleaner is a good program , been using it for months , as for startup just go to start then run then type in msconfig, go to startup tab and uncheck what you dont want starting , no program needed really, the other i have no idea about.....................
  3. they are hitting accounts with magic bullets now? this is out of hand

  5. i didnt see a setting in keymapper merlin , so i logged off =(
  6. same here, more equipment to buy after patch? , say it isnt so please
  7. what i meant was how many dimm on the board?............is it a dual channel? do you have both of them in the same channel? you may be running one on one channel and the other on another channel.....................in order to have dual channel work properly you need to have 2 sticks of ram , the same size , speed and preferably same manufacturer, otherwise you may run into problem....................for instance, say you have 3 dimms, 2 should be colored blue, i think this is default for asus, that is one channel, the last slot is another channel, so in order for it to work properly, you would need 2x512 in the first 2 slots, and 1x1 gig in the third slot, OR 2x1gig in the first 2 slots........you say it runs fine with your one 512 stick?....take that out and put the 1 gig stick in the same slot, if you still have a problem you have a bad stick of ram, you could verify this using memtest.............do you have the owners manual for the board? make sure you have them in the correct slots , but like i said, with 2 diff sizes your leaving the door open for a conflict..........it may not happen with everyones setup , but it does happen.........but , if you cant resolve it id call the experts http://support.asus.com/contact/contact.aspx?SLanguage=en-us as a side note, i have an asus a7n8x-e deluxe, i originally bought kingston ddr 400, i had nothing but problems trying to get it to run , i called kingston, they told me they no longer support use of their 400 mhz ram on my board because of too many conflicts, maybe the same for your board , not sure, but again , you could call the experts.................i switched to ocz ram , nice overclocking ram............................http://www.kingston.com/ use the compatibility search , see if the ram you have comes up
  8. what board is it , how many dimm? dual channel? personally, id run 2 1 gig sticks, or 2 512 sticks......................its best to have the same amount, speed, in each slot to avoid these types of conflicts................
  9. wait a second, i made a 5gig swap file on a seperate partition, then ran a boot time defrag,so it never gets fragmented, just for this game ..................am i to understand that this game needs the swap file off? im confused.......... 1 gig of ram btw
  10. i see 5 people say they average over 120fps on ground, mind telling us your setups?
  11. i get the same thing bud, grey error box with white heading saying "wwii has encountered an error and needs to close"
  12. you are correct , it is a core component and would require a reinstall of windows, which may solve the problem , dont know if you want to take it that far, but i found a few things, maybe they may help http://www.musicmachines.net/faqdx.htm http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=34530 http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/DirectX-Eradicator.shtml http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/printthread.php?t=2611
