  1. 2/10, but sadly, people will still bite.
  2. There's no amount of stats that will erase me knifing you in Ettelbruck.
  3. I am a total noob with this stuff, so I was hoping I could run my wished for specs past you guys and see if there's any problems that I'm not picking up on. Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151120 MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514 CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284 Video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202049 Mem: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231623 HD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147251 Anyone have any experience with any of these products?
  4. I hereby endorse this squad of sheepshaggers and alcoholics . bump
  5. Same issue, new file was mentioned: dxgmmsl.sys
  6. Ok, I haven't had any problems for a few days since I put the comp directly underneath the ceiling fan, but I got another freeze just today, and I recorded what I thought was relevant. On the blue screen, it had some instructions about who to contact blah blah blah, then it got down to the technical part of it. The first part was: STOP: 0x00000001 (0xFFFFFFFFFF etc.) it kept going on like that, then below that it mentioned a specific file. USBPORT.SYS - Address FFFFF880515E291 base at FFFFF8800514A000 Datestamp 4a56cc07 then it listed some processes involving checking and then dumping physical memory. Any ideas?
  7. Nevermind, uninstall then full install has worked, so far.
  8. windows 7
  9. Uninstalled, reinstalled, now my playgate launcher won't connect to the update server.
  10. Well I allowed it on Windows Firewall, still nothing, and I wasn't having problems a few days ago. I've updated the BIOS and my GFX drivers, but that's about it.
  11. Man I just can't catch a break. This is probably something stupid like the server being down, but my BE program will not launch. I login, get authenticated, select the campaign server, and hit play, and... nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
  12. I went into the BIOS and checked the memory and as far as I can tell it was set to 9-9-9-24. Just updated the gfx drivers to the 10.7 catalyst suite, got the same blue screen just a few minutes ago. Running the HWmonitor my GPU is sitting at about 50 degrees Celcius and I'm doing nothing but surfing the net atm. Is that a normal temperature? Granted I just had a crash a few minutes ago so it would make sense that it'd still be hot but that seems high considering the CPU temps are pegged at 0 degrees. I feel like such a nub right now but other than overheating I have no idea what could be wrong. It might be because I'm in Kentucky in the summer with a room that has virtually no air conditioning.
  13. Well I was playing dawn of war II last night after I updated the BIOS. I had a problem but this time instead of just freezing and forcing me to manually reboot, I got the old blue screen listing a bunch of text about how windows experienced some kind of error, but before I could read it all the comp rebooted itself. I have no idea whether this is the same problem or a new problem. I never should have downloaded AA3, that buggy pos game probably screwed up my comp with all that spyware they put on there .
  14. gonna install it now, I won't know until I do some stress testing, or basically until it happens again lol. I'll keep you updated.
  15. I've never actually updated the BIOS before, is it possible by using a CD-RW or a USB drive with my mobo?
