  3. Excellent News! In a effort to keep pushing forward I have just upgraded my son (Mustang) and nephew (Mustangjr) to Hero Builders. They are both 17 year olds who love the game and are so excited about the upcoming changes. They are CSGO, Squad, Dayz, Star Citizen players, but love this game, just wish it was more "updated". This news has them stoked! Keep up the good work! Rolltide.........OUT!

  5. Well my son and I got it all put together today. We had a great time doing it. We both were amazed that on the first attempt it booted right up. After we got all the drivers updated, windows updates and anti virus installed, we downloaded The game and took it for a test drive. WOW...the game was smooth as silk and fantastic frame rates, new cpu, all that RAM and new video card make a huge difference. As soon as my son goes to bed, ole dad is going take it for a spin. Thanks to everyone for the hardware recommendations. I could not be happier with the performance of this system at this point (3 hours). Rolltide
  6. Ok I ordered this build from newegg yesterday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. CDT. It was on my porch this morning at 10:00 a.m. CDT.....amazing! I appreciate all you guys input. I went with the following: Intel Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 motherboard EVGA GTX 560 ti (Fermi) 2 GB video card Kingston HyperX 16GB (4 X 4GB) DDR3 1600 Western Digital 500 GB 7200 rpm SATA 6.0 Gb/s hardrive Intel 520 120 Gig SS hard Drive Seasonic 650 M12II 650 watt BRONZE power supply Lite-on 24X DVD writer Cool Master Hyper 212 CPU cooler Rosewill Blackhawk Gaming ATX mid tower case Windows 7 64 bit Now to get it assembled over the weekend and not blow it up!
  7. Thanks for the input...the real test is going to be if these old eyes can see well enough to make all the motherboard connections!
  8. It has been a long time since I built a PC for this game. My 13 year old son loves this game and his old AMD 4000+ just won't do it anymore. He is now hogging my last build from a few years back an old E8400. Having not been in game much and reaaly out of the ever changing PC landscape I would appreciate your recommendations of components for he and I to construct his birthday present. I prefer to get the most bang for the buck and would like to keep this system under $1,000.00 I have a case and 650 watt PS, plus a new Sound Balster Xtremegamer PCI sound card in all my "stuff"....other than that we going to need everything else. Kindest Regards, Rolltide
  9. Resit the temptation of the Dark Side!
  10. Guys, Its been a while since I built by curretn rig: E8400 4 gig ram Ati 4850 Gigabyte mobo vista 64 etc...... Works great still for me. A co-worker who is an avid flight simulator guy wanted to know what kind of system we "gamers" would/could build that would give him excellent performance with various flight sim games. He is am engineer by trade but not a "computer guy", but is sure he can build it himself. Wants to keep his budget in the $700-$900 range for a complete build. Probably wants an Intel system, but AMD would work too. I know we are into some new generations of equipment and I don't know enough about old vs new to give him a build sheet ( this is only the second one I ever built). I would appreciate any assistance.....Thanks! rolltide
  11. I just finished a new build for the game. I am a novice to say the least at this but have completed a couple builds. This one went fine as well, until I attempted to add 2 additional 1gig sticks of ram. With only 2 gigs 2 X 1gig ddr800 sticks in dual channel it runs fine, upon adding 2 more 2X100 sticks of same ddr800 the system will begin to start up for or 10-15 seconds, the shut down and repeat. I have removed the ram and re seated it several times, it seems to be very secure, but each time its the same cycle. Question is, is this most likely a bad stick or two of ram or something else? I suppose I should put the suspect ram in the current slots to see if they will work there to rule out a mobo problem. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. 12. I don't think you can beat the build quality and attention to detail from Velocity Micro. rolltide...out!
  13. No question...the weak link is the video card, the nvidia 5200 is near the bottom in all areas of performace.
  14. Does anyone have a recommendation for Nvidia drivers. I read where there were some issues with the last couple versions released when playing this game. I am currently running Omega 1.6693 and the were fine, but with the performance hit of the new patch was just wondering if anyone had found something better. Thanks...rolltide..out!
  15. is 5 stars in my book. Fast shipping, few to no return hassles....I think you will be pleased. rolltide...out!
