  1. Uh, killing all programs that might be CPU hogs didn't work. Changing firewall settings.. had it on permitting 27015-27021 before. But the forums seem to suggest 27021-27105 is correct range?? So setting them to 27015-27105.
  2. Previously, I might one or two 60035 errors a month. Yesterday, had them constantly (5 or 6). Today, I'm having them constantly. Some hit after an hour, spawned-in. Some hit after 15 seconds. The one thing I'll note: when I spawn in, I always see the following error. (I don't know how it could be important since I've been getting this error for 3 years.) One cause that I'm thinking about: If I have Firefox open with alot of tabs, sometimes it causes 100% CPU usage spikes. I'm wondering if those spikes could cause WW2OL to hiccup and boot me out of being spawned. I'll try playing with Firefox not running at all and see if I get an error._____ MacOS 10.6.8 2.66 Ghz Intel Core i7 8GB 1067Mhz DDR3

UPDATE: Played Sun evening Dec 18 for 3-4hr on _Mac_ version -- no problems. however, chkicker logged on (with a PC) and reported he was having continuous cell host spawnouts. i later switched to Bootcamp/Win7: and also got _continuous_ cell host spawnouts. switch back to Mac version: _no_ spawnouts. wtf?
  5. Saturday night Dec 10 at about 10PM: Every time I log on, within 30 seconds to 3 minutes, I auto-despawn and get the: "Lost Connection to Cell Host (20033)" error. This is in Win 7 Professional running under Mac/Bootcamp. I ask on chat if anyone else was having problems. 2 other ppl, ch1kings/chkicker and flaktrapt0 have same issue-- they both have PCs. But besides them, this cellhost issue wasn't hitting the other players. Got cellhost error 3 consecutive times, set VisiblePlayerLimit to Medium, again got cell host error. So, 0 for 4 attempts. (BTW, for the last 4 years up to the present, I've always gotten duplicate "netcode2 connection failed, please check your firewall - reverting to standard network usage" messages every time I spawned in. But it never caused a problem, so I've never addressed it. Probably not pertinent, but I mention this for completeness.) What is going on? Is this known? Is this something that will be fixed? I'm coming from the Mac side where everything's always broken and I know that it will be months/years before Mac bugs are fixed. But on the Win side? This is ridiculous.   7. Yeah I had the same problem with American P-38 (French one seems ok). You spawn in as if the inner pod is invisible (ie, no instrument panel, just floating in air between the 2 nacelles). then, cant look anywhere with the View keys dont work (cant look up/down/L/R/etc). cant tell if it flies ok, because it fixes you in a random but drifting point of view (not guaranteed to be forward) and its hard to fly looking sideways or backwards and fly successfully ... altho engine starts, guns fire, tail locks, wep goes on ... MacOS 10.6.8 8GB RAM
  8. Hey Bar, Performance wasn't similar at all for me. With a 9-month old MBP, I got a lot better performance using Bootcamp/Win 7 than WW2OL on native OSX 10.6.6. Didn't do rigorous comparison, but I would have FPS in 50s or 60s in Bootcamp but only 20s-30s in MacOS. Very rarely, I'll get FPS in 8-10 on Mac and then I'll curse Steve Jobs, but I still play only on MacOS because it'd be too annoying to keep switching back and forth. For pure performance, Bootcamp is superior. Uh, the other reason to run the Win version over the Mac is there are several annoying bugs on Mac port that CRS cant/wont fix, bugs that are non-existent on Win. (eg, you cannot add comment on a Waypoint; you can only put one of each type of Waypoint-- target,rally,mortar; the Waypoint's label can only be one letter.) Bootcamp is pretty painless to install and if you give it 32G on a 500G HDD, 5% of your HDD is not a great sacrifice for Win compatibility, esp if you can get a copy of Win7 cheap (*cough*torrent*cough). I put Bootcamp up for some Windows apps and occasionally visit Bootcamp'ed WW2OL to enjoy some screaming FPS. Decide well what your partition size is going to be. It is somewhat difficult to change it after you've installed Bootcamp. Mac doesn't allow you to alter the partition after creation; third-party apps exist, but obviously that's a hassle. Anyway, 32G is for if you only want WW2OL and some other small programs. If you plan to install any disk-hogging games or apps, you'll want it larger, like 64G or more. And, bar, where the hell you been? This campaign is gonna win itself without you. Roosendaal a few days ago was spectacular. MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.6 / Windows 7 Professional(?)   10. anyone have Parallels/XP? i would do that if i didnt have Parallels/Vista.. this crashing every 45 minutes is very depressing. if i dont use map at all, i cant crash due to the map bug right? then, id just crash to the bug that hits every 2-3 hrs. i mean, does CRS know that their Mac port is almost useless?
