  3. I haven't had any fps problems like those mentioned in this thread. I have a 2.4GHz iMac with 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD2600/256MB VRAM. I cmd-tabbed to the activity viewer and saw that offline WW2Online uses about 1.2 GB real RAM and about 1.7 GB virtual memory with about 7GB of virtual memory total. I also noticed that WW2Online keeps the Flash Player.plugin and Quicktime framework loaded when the game is running. I sampled the process and saw that Flash_EnforceLocalSecurity was being called in about 4 of the 11 threads. I assumed at first that Flash/Quicktime were left over from the startup/web interface and not released when the game is started but Flash appears to be used during the game. I just looked at the console log and found that since the .2 update, there are a number of WW2Online network debugging entries in it. These weren't there prior to the update.
  4. This is not a crashing bug, but it is somewhat strange behavior: 1. as infantry, lower your weapon (L). 2. select binoculars (0). 3. start walking (W or G). I'm walking but I keep the binocular zoom level for the full screen. This continues until I try to use the weapon.
  5. iMac 2.4GHz 4GB RAM ATI Radeon 2600HD 10.5.7 Set to maximum performance, so most eye candy turned off. Haven't noticed any significant problems with fps. Just the CTD's I reported in the 1.30 bugs thread.
  6. I have a 2.4 GHz iMac with the ATI Radeon 2600HD/256MB VRAM and it works fine with WWIIOnline. I increased the RAM to 4GB from the original 1GB and found the game loads and quits much quicker. The increased RAM may have had an impact on the fps but I don't have any real evidence.

  10. I have a 2007 iMac with 4GB ram and get anywhere from >100 fps in the air when clear to low 20's in intense city fights.
  11. I have found that for best results I hit the enter key to get to the chat entry box and then press the "fn" key and then the "f1..." key. I then can send on the selected channel(s). The only thing I have seen is that my messages are not echoed right. By this I mean I see the previous chat message duplicated instead.

  15. I just tried to login with the expectation of a simple patching process. All appeared normal until I got to the point of selecting which disk WWIIOnline was on. At this screen I was told I had a newer version of the game installed and could not install the downloaded patch - " You cannot install World War ][ Online on this volume. A newer version of this software already exists on this volume." I looked inside the installer package and the Info.plist contains: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> 26.1.255 I thought about downloading the full install but I didn't want to yet.
