  1. I remember these events, the active players were in the hundreds back then... now an average of 20 players per side i cant see how that scale of events would be possible again.
  2. after a few hours in game i get a ctd followed by an out of memory warning, not the normal kind of out of memory warning you get but some kinda game error. had the task manager running and noticed that the game was just chewing on the memory as i moved from one area on the map to another, never freed any memory like it used too. i have 2 gig's plus 3 gigs on pagefile. obviously this is all since the new patch.
  3. corrupt memory is 100% likely, go get a replacment under warrantry.
  4. im getting this Cthl thingy all night (if its the same crash), game just freezes and i have to restart. 2 times in last 10 mins. intel Core2 duo 6700 ASUS p5n32-sli-se-Deluxe mobo .. latest Nforce 4 drivers (using 1 gigabit ethernet port) radeon x1900XtX latest drivers. (PCIE) Audigy 4 with latest drivers. 2gb 800mhz ram Win XP media center 2005 addition (clean install. 10mbps Broadband supplied by NTL.. south east UK using stutter fix client in SSE2. im behind a router but its working in fine order, i was able to play yesterday for 2 hours with no issues, then i get two crashes in gedinne withing 10 mins of each other about 5 minutes ago. FYI.. 8 people in an armour column to gedinne ALL got hit by this at the same time.. and others got booted as the same time as me, but random members from my squad and not the same people everytime.
  5. the performance is quite normal for your system, my CPU was a Athlon xp 2800 and radeon x800 and i got rougly 20-30 fps at most anywhere on the ground and town fightts were in the low teens. im afraid your going to have to put up with the Fps until crs decides to stop adding un-optimized and un-needed (right now) clutter into an Old game engine. ofc now with a Super comp i have 30 minimum and upto 200 (when v-sync is off anywhere in the map and even the most heated battles.) the Old P4 Ht chips compared to the newer Core'2 and amd Am-2 processors make a HUGE difference to Fps in this game... more so than any gfx card update will bring you, its like playing a whole new game.
  6. i dont see how a Software conflict could effect the system once the O/S is shutoff, the USB devices are still drawing power off the Psu for some unkown reason.. wasting alot of power i'd rather not. wake on lan/mouse is all disabled in the bios options. how long do they stay powered on your setup? since i havent left mine for any length of time im not sure if its just a temporary thing.
  7. on a new P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe mobo and i notice all the usb devices i have are still being powered when the computer is shutoff, does anyone know why this might be? all are Usb 2.0 ports afaik.
  8. no point having the most up to date sound drivers since 3D sound is porked with them, the old drivers on the install disk are much better than the recent ones.
  9. trying to download the ww2 client but i cant get the main page up.. just keep getting "page cant be displayed". i Cant even Ping the Playnet or ww2online addresses as it tells me "request timed out" here is my tracert report, can anyone figure out whats wrong?
