  1. It could make for a pretty cool strategy type game but it would be a huge amount of work.
  2. You'd think that it would be really easy to balance out the unit numbers and adjust as necessary wouldnt you, it isn't. I know it's frustrating but please bear with us as we all try to get to grips with the nuances of the tools that we have inherited, most of them are a half broken mess, we're slowly getting our ducks in order.
  3. That's true yes. What about if the game gave warnings in chat every X number of minutes if a friendly capture point hadn't been entered by a friendly unit during Y number of minutes. This could apply to capture points on both AO's and DO's These could be broadcast to only those on the AO or DO or they could be broadcast on a side channel, maybe even allow people to opt out of seeing them if they aren't interested. It could even be switched off if side population reached a certain number. I'm just throwing ideas around.

  5. I agree that this stuff should follow the industry default, we need to help new players feel at home straight away.
  6. I'm not sure that the gates really serve much purpose, maybe they could be changed to a full height metal gate but opened much further so they are almost against the wall.
  7. I hate the rain audio, it really messes with my head. I'm not good with constant repetitive noises, ticking clocks really annoy me. I'd love for us to be able to do something with the rain sound to at least mix it up a bit.

Part of me agrees with you but part of me remembers when I've spent my entire Sunday driving to an axis factory, I've driven halfway there and then gone afk for a couple of hours to do household chores before resuming the journey. I'm sure when people sail from France to England they must go afk for some of that journey.
  9. It's ok to say that you can just run between capture buildings checking them but if a group of enemy players storms a cp they will have it captured before you've done your rounds. I've also done my fair share of running between buildings checking them, it too becomes rather boring after a while.
  10. I've done my share of guarding over the years but I can't say it's all that much fun for me. It can be fun if the enemy are attacking the capture point that you are defending otherwise it's rather boring. I've suggested in the past about some form of warning system so people don't have to sit staring at a wall but people always say that they like doing It, although there's never that many people actually doing it in game. I personally don't understand those people who enjoy capturing things without fighting for it, the enjoyment for me is in the fight.

This type of thing caused my death a couple of days ago, raydr pulled up behind the hulk of a previous tank that I'd killed with my atg, I couldn't shoot him because of the hulk but he could and did shoot me because the hulk wasn't even there on his computer. I must put a bug report in for this.
  14. You can get good looking fire with a shader but to do it fire properly where it would hurt if you walked into it etc. It would require a lot of dev time.

  17. Personally I think fb's with no associated ao should just require 4 charges on each, I find it so boring blowing cold fb's now, having an FB ews system could make for some awesome battles, something to assist the underpop side would be needed as well though.

  22. I like the idea, I think we need more things like this that can be destroyed, repaired or captured. The more things we have to keep players amused, the better.
  23. I'm not a pilot, What is 'the fishbowl haze' ? Is that where the game stops rendering, do pilots feel it's too close or what is the problem?
  24. It would be great if the crew crumpled into a ragdoll heap on the floor when dead but as with everything it's a matter of someone finding the time to do it.
  25. Some work has been done on bringing emotes back but there's more work to be done.
