  1. Yea I had already double checked, I'm good to go. Gunna go with the 5850, thanks for all the advice gents.
  2. Thanks gman, this gives me exactly the information I need.
  3. I find thats a slippery slope, every 6 months it seems either Nvidia or ATI come out with something new and better, eventually you just gotta go buy something. Otherwise, I'd end up waiting forever.
  4. CPU is an E6600 oc'd to 3.0GHZ The plan is to upgrade in parts, I can't afford to do it all at once right now so I'm gunna try to do it in steps. Firstly starting with the video card as I believe that will have the greatest impact to performace. Currently running the following: 2.4 Ghz E6600 oc'd to 3.0 ghz ATI x1900xtx 512 mb 4 GB's G-Skill Memory I'm getting decent performace in game except when looking through bino's at trees. I thought I read somewhere that performace is related to Shader Processing, so I'm hoping the new vid card will improve it. Eventually I'll upgarde the MB/CPU etc. Thanks.
  5. I'm really torn on this one. I've heard/read a lot about these two cards over the last couple of days and I really am not sure which one to get. Both have their pro's and con's etc but I'm looking for a more direct impact with BE. I do play other games as well but I'm not as concerned about them. Any advice/thoughts are appreciated! Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 or ATI Radeon HD 5850 Thanks in advance.
  6. What's event viewer say? I use to have a very similar problem to that with a sound driver being the cause. Might want to start there. If it continues to happen, make sure to disable having the computer auto reboot after an error in case you happen by a BSOD. Should probably post your specs too if that doesn't resolve it. -Headric
  7. For myself I have reinstalled sound card, physically and the driver software. The issue happens from both speakers and headphones, and have tried two sets of headphones, it only happens out of the right channel however. I'm not sure what kind of response we'll get from dev though cause it seems to be a problem that is affecting very few of us
  8. I'm glad someone posted this, I too have been having a problem with a buzzing noise, of different pitches and volume. Seems to happen the most when I'm in a very intense firefight with lots of noises, but it is very random, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I can get the issue to go away when I despawn most of the time. Running: Windows XP Pro SP3 HT Omega Striker 7.1 Sound Card with updated drivers Hopefully something that can be fixed
  9. Having the network error and missing letters from time to time. It seems to me that if I Alt-tab from the game too early without letting it load, or do it so much as to bog down the system, I start loosing letters of the alphabet. Most frequently its the upper case letter 'y'.
  10. I have also had this exact same thing happen as of this weekend and have never had this issue before, just click ok and can still connect to game no problem, but have also been noticing higher than normal packet loss in some cases. - Headric
