  1. Come and listen to MJ sing "Go West" !
  2. We had a lots of fun, many thanks to everyone who organised the event. Whould be great to see some more :-) Btw What were the official results ? In the first run our Spits could only get to 17k before we were bounced and we didnt see a single bomber but it seesm the southern raid got hit pretty hard. Was the second round "unofficial" ? as we did actually find the bombers, though we only had 10 or 11 people who stayed on.
  3. Can I have a Spit please in Speedy and Mjs flight if poss. I wanted to fly a huri but noooo .......
  4. ghfhjfhggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
  5. Hey ! no one told me about the £5 postal order !
  6. Jfyi I currently have an Intel Dual core E6600. My budget tells me I wont be upgrading to the lastest generation cpus so Im looking at something like the E8400 3Ghz or E8500 Dual core 3.16Ghz both 6MB L2 Cache v something like a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 Ghz 4Mb L2 cache.
  7. Im thinking of upgrading my CPU. Usually people suggest staying wit dual core as most games dont support it properly but I hear that theres a post from a Rat that suggests that a Quad core willperform better than a Dual in the new game version. Does anyone know if this is correct ?
  8. Thanks for that info Indo. Heres my Dxdiag. Hope it means more to you than it does to me. I imagine my Card, Sound and mobo drivers are all out of date as I dont think Ive updated them since I built the PC. Btw whats Nvidia Physics ?
  9. Thanks all, you are all indeed correct. Its my monitor that maxs out at 1280 @ 1024. Now, of course, I feel a right muppet. Badger what sort of CPU do u have to get those frame rates btw? Maybe I need to put the monitor on hold after all. Ive just seen that thread about the Unity engine. I didnt realise I might need a CPU and Graphics card update to keep playing lol My 6600 Dual Core CPU and 8800gts arent even a year old
  10. But all th e one Ive looked at have a native res of 1900@1200. My 8800Gts only goes up to 1280@1024. Anyone know if i will get much distortion if I get a 190@1200 widescreen monitor ?
  11. Ive just bought a new motherboard, Intel E6600 and 2 Gb of RAM. When Im flying or indeed just sitting on the runway my fps flick from 3 figure fps to 2 digit fps really quickly. And the difference is big eg 130 down to 50 and Im not even moving. It constantly jumps like this. In Task Manager I've set priority to Above Normal and Affinity is set for both processors. I think this has only happened since the last 2 mini patches. Any ideas or is this normal ? My old AMD 4000 was certainly more stable and not much lower.
  12. After recently suffering from a lot of packet loss, I finally stopped swearing at CRS and gave my PC the once over. I found a running service called punkbuster which according to what I found from Google is causing lag problems in online games. It seems I got mine from the new Medal Of Honor game so its not something you will have installed knowingly. It can be turned off via control panel, administrator programs, services. I still get the normal stutters low over town but no more packet loss. I also found two viruses which may have caused the problem but it might be worth a look.
  13. Over the last couple of days Ive been getting big packet loss so I ran netcheck. It seems I cant ping the primary network at all. Not that Im sure I ever could. Is this whats causing me the problem ? version=1.27.1.255. Volume in drive C has no label.
