  1. I think I'm going to go to basic sub from builder, the auto download update takes a long time, then reboot required then login and update is necessary, won't run then find a thread that tells me to uninstall and start over. Seems like you guys can't find your [censored] with both hands.
  2. WTF why is this on the main page again if it was a month ago?
  3. My Dad, Sam Roper was in Charlie Company of the 58th Armored Infantry Battalion, 8th Armor Division. You can read about their AAR here http://www.8th-armored.org/ . He earned 4 Comabt Infantry badges represented by 4 bronze stars on the theatre ribbon. Here is one AAR from the site http://www.8th-armored.org/aar/58c_buer.htm Dad never talked much about his experiences in the war but he did tell me more when I was in my 40s and he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. He was attached to Patton and made the run up to the Battle of the Buldge arriving around Christmas to relieve the 101st Airborne. He then went on through the Battle of the Ardennes Forrest and so into Berlin in 45, liberating the extermination camp Halberstad-Zwieberge a subdivision of Buchenwald, freeing 1100 prisioners along the way. Dad was an infantryman and was an expert marksman, I have his marksman badge, his combat ribbons, and Combat Infantry Badges still. He passed away in August of 1999, I think of him every single day.
  4. Restarting no help, shut puter down no help
  5. You're something else! This is probably the best customer service they've had here (so few people so many tasks). GJ.
  6. Sky if your machine is writing to the hard drive while flying then you need to look for another fix. Your computer should be able to carry 99% of the game without reading or writing to the hard drive. This is why the fabled buy more ram started. On all computers your processor, memory, video crad carry the load. Reading and writing to/from the hard drive is much slower. Those specs you have there look mighty strong to me and should do fine. Memory is fairly cheap now so maybe go to 8gb.
  7. The patch ran on my rig until Friday night. I got some CTDs and Saturday night it was pretty bad at times. Sunday night it was horrible for a lot of people on my TS channel. We tried all the different settings in all the different combinations to no avail. However some people didn't experience it at all.
  8. If you find a Squad that constantly swaps sides you will be very fortunate.
  9. Got a spare video card? Stick it in. If it is borked at boot it is either video card, or mainboard issue. Memory issue would get you beeps and black screen.
  10. I had the c++ error but I fixed it like this. First I removed my Soundblaster Audigy card and moved it to another slot and reinstalled the authentic drivers which came with it. Then I looked at my memory. I have 2 blue slots and 1 black slot for memory. I moved both 512mb sticks to the blue slots and the 1gb stick to the black slot. I have not had the c++ since. Now maybe it was the memory locations, or maybe it was the sound card slot location or maybe it was the newest driver from Soundblaster. Sorry I did so many things at one time, but hey I dont get that damn c++ thing every 30 minutes or so anymore. Moving one of your PCI cards to another slot changes it's resource allocation and the problem might be with a sharing of certain resources, I don't know for sure though.
