  1. I am using an I5-2500k with a GTX 670 FTW and I was getting 10-13 FPS in the big battle last night. I am sure that I could jack my CPU up to gain a few more FPS, but that shouldn't be necessary, nor will I spend 5 grand on a video game. I am sure other people can play with 10 FPS but I can't. If 1.35 doesn't help, and I start getting these kind of frame rates consistently, I will just stop playing the game.
  2. What really gets me is that the player base has talked about putting bug fixes/game performance above the next new feature for a DECADE and it doesn't happen. I agree that what is happening right now is that they are trying to suck every penny out of this game as they possibly can before it folds. When a company that already charges its customers more than what is considered average starts asking that already overcharged player base for "donations" you know there are problems. The sad thing is that if these things were fixed long ago they would at least have a solid base to build on, but instead they are still using spit and glue to keep the game going. Eventually it will fall apart like it did last night with a massive amount of enemy soldiers being invisible.
  3. This game has always been hard to run even with a great machine. The reality is that you shouldn't have to overclock a new processor to run a game that is 11 years old. Anyone with a decent machine should be able to achieve great FPS. What I don't understand is how this game has always been the same as far as performance. When it came out 11 years ago, the best machines then could barely stay over the 30 fps mark, and today it is the same thing. From what I understand the game is VERY processor intensive, but what has been added in the last 11 years that gives a 2500k a run for its money? I mean back in 2000 wasn't the Athlon processor all the rage? I would be willing to bet the 2500k is 3-4x times faster than that, so what has been added that eats up so much processor power?
  4. I have been having problems with my 1st person sound dropping a lot, and started to change some things to see if I could fix it. The first thing I did is change my sample rate from 192 KHz to 96 KHz and it only dropped for 1-2 seconds one time in a night of play. It used to drop all the time, so I think I found the magic bullet for me.
  5. Yeah I don't think that is the problem, but I will try it. Sometimes it drops when there are very few sounds.
  6. Yeah it is getting bad. Anytime there is a decent battle going on it drops. It used to happen with my onboard, but I think it happens more now.
  7. This is starting to happen too often. I am losing my 1st person sounds, like reloading, firing, and my footsteps, very frequently now. I was using onbaord sound from my 790fx, but now I am using an Asus Xonar DX. Could the sample rate have anything to do with this? I have it set at 192 KHz right now. Is there anything else it could be?
  8. ok thx guys
  9. Who would be the best person to email about problems in the forum? Bloo? MM? What is the email address?
  10. Like someone else said, you don't need to spend a lot of money if your building a box primarily for this game. The Sandy Bridge processors are great, but you don't really need one. I have a Phenom II 965 oc'd to 3.8 combined with a GTX 470 and I do great. I never drop below 35, and most of the time I am doing a lot better than that. It has gotten to the point where I don't pay any attention the the FPS meter anymore because it is a non-issue for me at least. As far as an SSD, it does help with boot times and Windows, but it isn't going to give you any better frames. They are nice to have, but are anything but necessary. If I had to guess, you could build a new box to run this game at a high level and only spend $5-600 or less depending if you can scavenge anything from your current box.
  11. Have you recently updated your driver for the 5700?
  12. Yeah I started a trial yesterday and I got the same thing, as well as other players as well.
  13. This is not on your end, there is something wrong on their end.
  14. I am having the same problem with a trial acct. It lets me enter my password, says it logs in, starts the game but gives me a network error and authentication failed error. I am guessing there is something wrong with the auth server.
