  1. saintj2 (F2P) cant post (reason: its banned). Its probably an error. Can anyone fix it please ?
  2. May I ask how are you going to get to that many people ? ovelha - saintj2 - saintj
  3. You actually asked "where can i" and you are F2P. But I was only kidding there. Good luck with the rest. ovelha - saintj2 - saintj
  4. What do you expect ? You have 30-50fps and 15-20fps on big fights . Most people simply hate you for having a good setup. What fbcoach, but I would make sure you are taking all you can from your CPU before overclocking it. Is it working at full speed or do you have some sort of "energy saving" going ? Do you have your pc filled with trash (programs that work in the background just to slow it down) ? Do you have the LATEST video card driver ?
  5. Don't do it rats - we don't want dfadd to go saintj
  6. Are your game settings at minimum ? Can you install a fresh win7 ? You can also try this software: http://www.tune-up.com/ (demo version is just fine for 15 days). After install and "all problems fixed" (try to get close to no program starting at boot), you will have in your taskbar a "turbo" option - use it ! IMHO with that hardware you should be doing better.
  7. That's not really spam, its false advertising. But what could really be happening is that you created more than one account, with the "same" email. And CRS is sending you an email for the F2P and you are looking at your ex-premium account.
  8. I don't think we really need ALL that funisfun is suggesting, but the ads, can probably be made client side only (and I think gopher can do that). Just remember that ads would only show for F2P. Something like: - Release (almost) all toys to F2P - Get pub in for each spawn (F2P only) You don't want publicity ? get a subscription. Its not perfect, and I'm assuming that funisfun is not just a "dog" in the internet and that putting publicity in is a real possibility. But it can be an effective way to get money from F2P, fast. saintj - saintj2 - ovelha
  9. When the Americans get to the game, F2P also get more restrictions (allied side at least), since they will have no ATGs or vehicles to try. There was also some nice suggestions posted some days ago about CRS making more money out of F2P (in publicity) is this being considered ? Will it be addressed in the upcoming rat chat ? saintj - saintj2 - ovelha
  10. did he tried downloading it again ?
  11. But again bad fallbacks (now on the allied side) gave axis the chance to do some blitzkrieg of their own. Allies first pushed back some brigades, but as axis, hold their ground and managed to cut axis off, trapping some of their brigades. When these brigades get "trapped", if they don't manage to get out, they will surrender and that side will lose the ability to use those brigades in game for 24 hours. Sometimes this gives the other side a good advantage to probe for holes in the line. Allies did just that, opening a hole in axis lines in the center-north and later in the north (sorry, I got no images of when this started). This time axis didn't managed to cut any allied advance nor did they fallback their forces fast enough, loosing a considerable amount of ground in the center and north of the map Edit: A good place to follow the map is in: http://www.lagus.cc/webmap . Premium subscriptions (=not F2P) also have access to a forum where HC discuss map strategy with players aligned with that side. saintj - saintj2 - ovelha
  12. Well this map has been full with blitzkrieg attempts , which makes the map fluid and fun . I haven't been playing that much (at least not as I used to), but I got some snaps frum lagus map and here is my reading of what has happened. It started with allies pushing on Bertrix. This is one of those towns allies will always try to push in the start of the campaign. It has an airfield very close to the front, giving axis a good advantage. But loosing this town is also very bad for morale on axis side, so axis will fight hard to keep it. Right on the start of the campaign allies managed to get close to Bertrix and started attacking it. As said, axis have to defend this town hard and that probably gave allies the opportunity to launch a new attack a bit further north, while axis forces were occupied in the defense of Bertrix. As far as I can tell fallbacks (for simplicity, lets say its reserve forces) were bad placed by axis, allowing allies to push into the back of axis forces . Axis hold strong (exactly what you have to do when faced with a blitzkrieg attack) and managed to cut allied forced, trapping at least 1 division. At this stage the lines were back to normal and axis started to work pushing allies away from Bertrix.
  13. Its in the top right corner of this forum. I think (might be wrong) that it was also in the web server, but they weren't making any money out of it and took it out. Good luck with that. Getting a reply back from google is hard enough, so getting "help" ....
  14. Very good post funisfun. The part I like the most is the ads. And I know (its public, rats have said so) that CRS has tried to get that working, but never got anyone that wanted to advertise in the game. Maybe they need someone pointing in the right direction . My math, with your numbers and if we can up F2P to an average of 100 players online 24/7 (I think we are still a long way from that), CRS could get 500$/day=15.000$/month just with ads on F2P (player dying on average every 3min, 15s publicity). That's if it is really possible to get publicity going and if we get 100 F2P 24/7 on average. As to the other things you mention, don't really expect CRS to do many code changes to make this happen. Small code changes (like publicity for F2P and opening up more content), I believe they can do fast. Things like micro-payment, I don't think they can in the short term. According to some posts, right now CRS has 1, maybe 2 coders. But they are a resilient bunch and if they can get more money, I'm sure they will re-invest it back into this great game. Thinking in thousands of F2P might also not work, since this is an FPS game and if we had fun fights with hundreds (?) of players, the truth is that the game simply cant handle thousands of players (in the same area). With local spawn delays/player limit (getting players into diffrente areas), we might get more players in (I think the server can handle this, the problem is the client), but still, there is a limit and its not as high as one might think.
