      Seeking Squad Leaders!   04/09/2017

      Soldiers!

We are seeking Squad Leaders to volunteer their squads to help us test the upcoming Squad Forums system. This system will integrate squads who wish to participate into a self-sustained "forum within a forum." You will be able to add members to your squad, assign permissions, and create forums/calendar events on your own. The idea behind this system is part of our commitment to support squads as a integral part of our community. This service will be offered free of charge to all squads of World War II Online upon launch. Our goal is to offer all of the services a squad off-site forum can offer but free of charge and tied in to our existing forum service. So what do you need tested? We need willing volunteers to test the whole system - make forums, post threads, assign permissions, etc. The idea is to have several squads giving it a test run to point out any flaws before we launch it publicly. What are the requirements? We are ideally looking for medium to large squads - Ideally ten people or so plus, but smaller squads feel free to apply - and a willingness to use our platform. It's important to note (as of now - these may be included at a later date) we are unable to convert posts from a private forum if your squad previously used one, and you (or your XO's and recruiters) will need to assign individual members permissions. It is entirely possible that in the future this system will be automatically linked to the game's squad roster, but as of now developer priorities are elsewhere (1.37 and steam, w00t!) How do I sign up? PM me ( @Dodger ) on the forums, or email me at dodger@playnet.com - Please indicate your squad name and how many members you have. I will get back to you with more instructions.

      Recruiting drive.   04/16/2017

With the anticipated influx of new players on the heels of this summer's Steam release, there is a reasonable expectation that forum traffic will increase. I'm looking for volunteers, not just to moderate, but to help answer new players' questions or direct them toward the correct answers. The forums may be a player's first contact with the game and we want to ensure that it is a positive experience. A happy player is a player who sticks around and the more new players we can retain, the more resources we will have for development.
With that in mind, we are looking for current players with a positive attitude and posting history. PM me if you are interested.

  1. Oh from my understanding, my family has already given your company several thousand dollars about ten or more years ago (when I was tiny) along side several other notable members to which some guy at this company ran off with the rest of the money or something like that?? I dunno but I'm a bit reserved about forking out 18$ a month.. but I remembered playing this when I was little so I come back to check it out now and again and tbh i'm totally thinking about a starter account because I caught the truckin' bug again over the WBS thing. =p but anyways have you thought about more semi open community development since you're apparently cash strapped?? especially once deployed on steam later this year as you're projecting? I mean if the facepunch community can spit out futunari overwatch characters via 3Dmaya within 38 minutes of the game's official release just to make people laugh, i'm sure a few of them could chew out needed models for you guys in the span of an hour in any manner you would like for stuff like free play, name-in-ur-game or just in game booty... I'd totally code monkey for that. Also, Has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like Clint from Lazy Game Reviews?
  2. no problem!! Enjoy the game. ( ^ ~ ^ )
  3. You might also like Ian's review of a BOYS ATR from Forgottenweapons that he had the chance to play with before auction, he goes through it's history, design, operation, general use and most everything else about them!
  4. I found this super adorable and easily watchable, thought the rest of you would enjoy watching it as well.
  5. Try using your AMD Catalyst Control Panel to tune down the executable's graphics even further such as worse texture filtering, no sampling, clamping textures and enabling opelGL buffer (this game is old enough to still support that yes lol) and make super sure that your laptop is set to allocate a significant portion of your system memory towards the APU... you can do that via the bios of your laptop (check with your vendor to see how on your particular computer) You may also try AMD's Omega drivers that can bring out additional performance from your APU for this particular title but sometimes it comes at the cost of overall compatibility across your entire library. Don't forget to disable two or three of the four cores on your quad core processor. it will assign additional L-Cache to the single core this game is crippled to using and that can help performance substantially for some users. "Broke [censored] gamers" also carries a listing for this game that has various mods and stuff you can do to help this title run great on a terrible computer... though most require you know know how to export and repack the games contents. 2.2Ghz Core2Duo, 5136MB DDR2, Radeon 6450 1GB card = 22~48fps here
  6. sometimes an alternate installation path can cause no load glitches when the game can't seek the proper path towards whatever it's requesting, but that <b>should</b> of been solved a long time ago and can be subverted by using the native requested res o' the game for its various menu photos (1024x768 = screen43.bmp //1920x1200 = screen69.bmp 1920x1200 = template_be.bmp) so you might try flipping through the various supported resolutions until one lines up and allows the loading to do its thing correctly. who knows though, it could totally still exist in the scripts and i'm rusty on my ww2 knawledge. >_< best of luck!
  7. If it's a "Visa" then it operates under the Visanet Merchant ship and is accommodated like any other visa transactive card. so yes, they do that that card. =) [edit] awesome name btw.
  8. Whatever happened to....
  9. It's not anything particularly new, Onkyo had a DS screen laptop around 2011, and Gscreens did it in 2009, I'm pretty sure IBM had a dual screen in 1999? or so on a particular model of their thinkpad series I'm sure three screens on a laptop will be about as popular as two have been over the years.. but it is really neat. ^_ ^
  10. I spawned in tonight to see that I'm a private first class after achieving 1st lieutenant over the course of the Welcome back soldier celebration having been a technical Sargent before that thing started... I haven't ever lost rank before when you ended a WBS or some other phase. or is this a glitch or just a random start of the newyear thing? Just curious, can't really complain over rankies on a F2p account. >_<
  11. Might be sweet to offer them a re-review with a free month subscription.
  12. I dunno but I remember your name!
  13. seems like I already have a design closer to the last few. :3
  14. Here's a derpy music video one of my uncles made in 2001 if anyone's curious.
