  3. Did both, problem remains. How do I get DxDiag specs?
  4. I am having the same problem. Starts to load then dumps back to desktop after black screen. What can I do? edit: Won't even load offline. Found this log file data. Don't knwo if it help: C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe\WW2_sse2.exe File version: 1, 28, 4, 255 Program compile time: Feb 22 2008 15:10:30 Date and time: 3/27/2008 17:04:49 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Exception: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION Exception: continuable Exception address: 0x00000000 Exception tried to: read at address 0x00000000 Exception Registers: DS: 0x00000023, ES: 0x00000023, FS: 0x0000003b, GS: 0x00000000 EBP: 0x0012fa14, ESP: 0x0012f9f8, SS: 0x00000023, EIP: 0x00000000 ESI: 0x01435478, EDI: 0x04112600 EAX: 0x00000006, EBX: 0x759d2aa1, ECX: 0x0012fa3c, EDX: 0x03b58410
  5. I got Vista on a new laptop. Game will not let me connect. Starts with black screen and then just reverts back to desktop. I changed all the WW2OL files to run as administrator but still no dice. wwiiol netcheck says "access is denied" again and again. Any ideas? I turned off firewall and no change. Thanks.
  6. Simply the Best. Sign up now!
  7. Not likely. Happens when I first get on game at screen saying pop limits. Trying to reinstall game now to see if that solves it.
  8. Thanks for the help. I did all that but problem persists. See below. Further ideas?
  9. I also am getting wierd video effects with my new 6600 GT card. See below. Only happens in WWIIOL. Happens online and offline. Happens at all different resolutions and colors. I already reinstalled video drivers. It looks like a kaleidoscope when I play. Especially bad when I use binoculars or sniper scope. Any ideas?
  10. I got a new video card, 6600 GT, and when I go to binoculars, I get a strange kaleidospoce effect which is really annoying. I tried restarting game but I still get it all the time. Anyone else ever get this? I have most recent Nvidia drivers. Do I need to go back to an earlier version? If so, where do I find them? Thanks. All CTHL issues fixd btw.
  11. Latest CTHL happened at unit selection screen. I wasn't even in the game. Then saw notice that virtual memory was too low. Guess 1.2GB RAM not enough to run this game. Yesterday, CTHL caused my VOIP to drop.
  12. OK, good, now that I am honing in on the 6800 GT, what does it matter if it is overclocked like this one: http://snipurl.com/s6dm Is that better? Will that bust my new 350w power supply budget? What are the advantages or disadvantages of an overclocked video card? Also, now I hear I can run the 6800GS on my 250w PSU, so why go through the hassle and expense to get a new PSU to run 6800 GT if my current system can run the 6800 GS? How much better is the 6800GT than the 6800GS? http://snipurl.com/s6e9
  13. Given the risks, and how relatively inexpensive a new PSU is, I am now thinking of upgrading the PSU to 350w. I found this one for just $17 after shipping: http://snipurl.com/s6am Sounds like if I upgrade the PSU to 350w, I can get the Nvidia Geforce 6800GT which should make a noticeable improvement. Am I missing anything?
