  1. Hmm has anyone else noticed that for a couple of days earlier in the week that the number of and frequency of CTD's they were having dropped dramatically? If not maybe I was able to isolate some problems... 4F
  2. Has anyone else noticed that things seem to have gotten alot better in last couple of days? Ive gone through a whole night's playing without a single CTD! Is it something I did, or CRS or server side?
  3. Well that idea lasted 3 mins... Faulting application ww2_x86.exe, version 1.26.1.255, faulting module nvoglnt.dll, version 6.14.11.5822, fault address 0x002f15b1.
  4. Mcalin -- I just shut the whole software side of DEP off - -or are you saying that I have to have it running but just off for WWii files and MS mng control? that would be weird... In reading up on DEP the new AMD and Intel processors now have parts of DEP hard coded into it....was thinking since i had totally shut off DEP on the software side that that the hardware side is all that could be causing it.... who knows... I think I am beginning to believe that it is a few lines of sloppy code that is screwing up certain configurations... Looking at the last error... Faulting application ww2_x86.exe, version 1.26.1.255, faulting module nvoglnt.dll, version 6.14.11.5822, fault address 0x00253363. why is Nvidia's GL driver involved at all if it is shut off? OOPS I guess I had it on in a field called "conformant texture clamp" in Nvidia settings...
  5. Natedawg? You play football? Ahh probably a different NateDawg, but if not -- We are still following your career here in the Weston Ghetto -- ESPN loves ya I tell ya! Ripper -- I agree its probably a DEP problem but shouldnt disabling it solve that -- or is it that my AMD x2 dual core has the DEP hardware encoded too -- cant figure out how to disable that in bios yet... Going to try and play with mem timings/cpu config. But not getting my hopes up.... 4F
  6. To give you an idea of how unplayable this is --- I was a German AA gun outside a Zerf FB-- spent almost 10 mins pushing the damn thing up a hill to get clearance from the trees around the FB. Clear the top and lo and behold 2 EI out in the open but a good distance away. I deploy my gun and realized that the angle of the hill prevented me from lowering my barrel to the required angle, so I fold it up and move a little further down the hill. Thinking that I hadnt seen them, the EI go prone and I now see that there is a mobile spawn setup just beyond a hedge row with more EI dripping out and headed to the clearing... an AAA gunner's wet dream. I redeployed my AAA, drew a careful bead on the 2 closest EI who where hoping on hope that I was more interested in air targets than 2 prone Frenchies maybe nearly a 1/2 km away, and they I am sure were hoping that I had not yet discovered what was about to unfold! A few rounds and a couple of red puffs later, I open up chat to call in some support of the Zerf FB as I am all alone now. As I start typing in my position and the FB staus to my mission mates, I spy a EI headed back into the bushes just before hill cover so I open up on him....Click click click ... my trigger is useless... as I am now frozen up once again! I am back at my desktop in seconds and I know that my options are limited -- wont have the time to redeploy another AAA gun to the hill, maybe a LMG or some sort of recon vehicle...but of course after the CTD I dont have to wait for 2 reloads as I wont have connectivity after a CTD... Precious seconds are ticking by...knowing that the FB is unguarded, my message warning others to the severity of the situation did not get entered, and there are certaininly hordes of EI streaming up the hill now seeking cover through the bush line, which will now make my job infinitely harder... On second restart I am now in the brigade briefing room, trying to make a quick choice, no LMG's, no snipers left, armor is down to PZ II's which will just have to do -- hoping that I still have a good amount of clearing around the FB to work with and hoping that I would be able to get up the hill quick enough to keep the onslaught of EI at bay.... Except I immediately CTD on spawn! A once in a 1000 spawn event that is wasted! Not to mention the loss of items from the spawn list, nor the lack of credit for any of my kills.... So I have canceled my subscription, which gives me a little over a week left till I say goodbye again. 7. Well complete tear out and re-install did nothing to help -- ctd'd on despawn twice now -- maybe new problem.... Really aggravated as I forgot to save my cfml file as well so now I get to spend a whole bunch of time fixing all those settings by memory, and then having the system ctd every time I wanna change something... losing my patience....
  8. Going to tear the whole thing out and try a fresh install...

  14. Well I am just about ready to give up... WWII online is the only game that causes this. Cant recreate it in any other application. No particular rhyme or reason to the CTD, can be moving or standing still. Can be all alone or in the middle of town. Armor, Grunt or AA. Can CTD in a minute or after 20 mins. Always the same STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error in WWii error log. Researched everything I could find on the forum related to this and other issues... Turning off Dep does nothing -- but that is for software only -- dual core AMD and intels now have a Hardware DEP solution as well, which leads me to believe its a WWII online issue in its code, and my particular config. Running single proc has no influence on it either. Once I CTD the network still shows activity for quite awhile as if I am still in game. Restarting the game after a CTD without reboot just generates a "lost connection" message after program is about finished loading... Ill give it another week or so and then its time to spend my money else where. I had let my subscription lapse before, a few months after our squad was forcibly disbanded by CRS because it was tier III, and upcoming changes didnt allow for us to continue automonously. I left pretty disheartened. After about a year I got an email from old squadies and I had hoped my new system and time would have solved the lag and ctd issues, but they just seem to have changed in flavor...
