  1. Thx I'll check it out.
  2. Join the club. It's pretty clear fixing it is not a priority. Time to unsub for a few months and try back again later (again).
  3. I've been a long time member of this game, but these random CTDs are driving me to the edge of unsubblivion. It's basically a crash to desktop with no error messages or warnings. Other online games (as usual) run fine. Is there a freaking log associated with this game or something we can look at to try to troubleshoot this crap? Here is my application log from the event viewer: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 8/6/2008 8:35:36 PM Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: whapx1 Description: Faulting application WW2_sse2.exe, version 1.28.7.255, time stamp 0x4863cfb9, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x5ba919b1, process id 0x1750, application start time 0x01c8f821f3142204. 4. Edit - Different problem
  5. ctd

I have the same problem. It started after one of the last few patches and I doubt there will be a fix anytime soon. At least you know your not alone!
  6. Well I have a week left until my account expires so hopefully somebody will post a magic bullet before then! Either way I'll be back for the next major patch to check it out again. I did play COD4 online for almost 2 hours straight last night without issue, so I think my Internet connection and PC are fine. Hopefully a billion or so of those Chinese will sign up for the game dump some Yen on the Rats so they can hire some programmers to bring the network code (and graphics engine) out of the 90s!.
  7. Well Still no luck. CTD's twice in less then an hour. I'm going to take a break from the game and unsub until the Rats put out an update to fix this crap. I spend all day solving computer problems in my day job so I don't really feel like doing it at home to play a game.
  8. Thanks guys. I've already ran the mem check program and it checks out, and I am plugged direction into my cable modem. I have not however tried changding the settings mentioned in the above post so I will try that tonight.
  9. Hey guys. I'm a long time player, but am seriously thinking about giving up on the game because of the frequent CTDs I'm getting. I know not everyone is getting them, but since the the last big patch its been very frequent for me. It usually happens after about 15 -30 min of play, and it's always a "Connection to Host Lost" error. The only thing I've upgraded in the past few months is my VC which is now a Gforce 8800 GT 512. I don't have any trouble with other online games (well the only other one I play occationally is LOTR). Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks!
  10. Thanks! When I logged in 2 nights ago I didn't know we were in intermission. That plus the fact that the chat wasn't working lead me to think that my client must have been fubar. Thanks for the info!
  11. Ok I thought this was a server problem last night but its still happening to me so it must be my game client... When I log in as Allied the Germans are on the wrong sides of the main map, and the chat doesn't work at all. I can still spawn in as Allied when I click on a German city. Has this happened to anyone before?
  12. The RATs need to start working on Vista now because to wait for SP1 makes no sense. Microsoft has already said that SP1 will contain almost no new enhancements and fixes. It will just be a collection of all the ones that have already been released through windows update. There are enough DirectX 10 games coming out this year to warrent a Vista upgrade. BTW, if you want to keep your Vista you can simply dual boot your PC with XP for WWIIonline. Here is a link which tells you how to do it: http://apcmag.com/5485/dualbooting_vista_and_xp
  13. I almost never CTD'd before 1.8 and now it happens at least once a night sometimes more. Others I talk to in the game seem to be experiencing it too. Any suggestions? Is it netcode2? Thanks!
  14. Game has a memory leak. Anyone else having the same problem or am I just unlucky...
