  1. In order to make changes to the program to make your guys jobs easier, we need you guys to give us some feedback after your cycle as a Host Squad. (Non-English speaking squads, please post here every so often to let us know how many recruits you're getting!) Please write your AAR in this format... These AARs will help us fix problems that can potentially be solved within the program! S!
  2. I love to run four accounts (with all similar names to Zach) at once during TZ3, defending every depot in a small town... the rage is always wonderful
  3. True statement. Plus 18 hour resupply timers, ain't happening.
  4. How about a repost of the patch notes since we can't access front page?
  5. Bump - Zach's joined the crew

  7. Not sure, When a new player joins the game for the first time (without a Host Squad in rotation) they are given a screen that asks them to select between 3 squads whose recruitment flags are on, showing their recruitment message and etc. When a Host Squad is in rotation however, it wont give the new player the option of a squad, instead it will place them directly into the Host Squad in rotation.
  8. Hey, that's good **** man. I assume Host Squad is still active given your post, looks like you have a good understanding of what I had originally intended for Host Squad Reps, keep up the good work
  9. Subscribing to the Host Squad Forum is beneficial in that you will receive email updates each time that there is a new post in our forum. I strongly recommend this as it is a good place to start increasing Host Squad forum activity. To subscribe to the Host Squad Forum, see the image below. Note: What you see will look a bit different than mine.
  10. BUMP... I'd really like to start seeing some replies in this forum Host Squads.
  11. SALUTE Host Squads, July was an excellent month for the Host Squad Program. I believe that it was our first full month of weekly rotation with our current roster, which means that each Host Squad has now experienced the sometimes chaotic yet incredibly beneficial rotation as Host Squad. There are a few topics that I'd like to stress in this newsletter... (1): Recruitment This is a big one folks. In the Host Squad Program, our biggest issue is and will always be recruiting more Host Squads. The more squads that we have in our program, the more time that your squad is off of rotation. The best means of recruitment are in-game and YOU are our best resources for getting the word out about our program. If you know anybody that is in a squad aside from your own, speak to them about becoming a member of the Host Squad Program! (2) Starter Accounts Below is a description of the recently acquired Starter Account subscription type. This new subscription type is basically a modified version of the basic account type, only a lot better at giving new players a taste of what the game looks like. If possible, explain this to new FTP players in your squad that want to try more but don't want to subscribe fully yet! (3) The Host Squad Forum As expressed in the previous newsletter, I want to ensure that The Host Squad Forum is being used as a home for our Host Squad trainers! This forum is my best means of discussion with our Host Squads, and if you have ANY suggestions as to how we could potentially make the program better for our squads, start a discussion in our forum! I will consider each suggestion / idea that is given to me. If you have ANY comments / questions / concerns about the topics listed above or about the Host Squad Program, I am available via email at ZACH@Playnet.com. Keep up the great work soldiers! Regards,
  12. Thank you very much for the AAR Xo, I will look into it and see if there is anything else we can change to perhaps increase the retention rate of those new players.
  13. We have recently changed the 'essential links' list that is sent to new players when they first create their account... From now on, you should be directing new players to the following resources. [1] New Player Survival Guide in their sign up email [2] The 'Help' Channel Regards,
  14. Why was the Host Squad Program created? The Host Squad Program was created to increase new player direction upon their first log-in whilst increasing squad size, effectively growing the game as a whole. Host Squad trainers are provided with training tools that make their jobs easier when contacting new players upon their first log-in. Tools Given (.GRAB ) - This tool locks you and the new player into conversation. Anything said in any channel will only be broadcast to eachother. (.TR ) - You will be given access to a new channel. Like .HC channel, anything you say on the .TR channel will be seen only by other active trainers. (.TR list) - Your name will be shown on the .TR list, meaning you can send/receive PMs to players on both sides, allowing you to contact Host Squads on the other side for 'TRADE-A-NOOB' purposes. 1. is playing Axis but is in my Allied Squad. (After 2-3 days of playing that side, decided he wants to mainly play that side)2. *Kick player*3. The other Host Squad will then get in touch with that player. What is the objective? The objective of the Host Squad Program is very simple, to teach new players how to use a text channel and to DIRECT them to their learning resources resources. Resource 1: The 'HELP' channel.Resource 2: Their New Player Guide.New Player Process New player creates their account New player receives a welcome/activatio letter in their email and in that email is a guide for new players New player activates account and is placed in the current Host Squad before they log into game New player logs into game and is contacted & directed by the Host Squad Host Squad Process The Host Squad's job is to direct the new player to his learning resources. No advanced training required, just the basics of the basics! Community Trainers / Players in the help channel as well as their new-player-guide will do the rest of the work. New player is added to squad, logs into game Squad trainer .grab's the new player and uses the script below to contact that player And that's it... using the 'ARROW UP' key allows you to repeat anything you type into the chat box without retyping it. 21. 14th Tactical Operations Brigade was created by a number of vets looking to create a group of players that like to cooperate with each other by any means. Whether that be on the ground, in the air, or in the sea, we enjoy teamwork and strive to both plan and execute operations. In 14th, we have a variety of players from countries all around the world, no matter what timezone you play, you'll almost always have another team-mate to fight with. In our squad you'll find trainers, Allied High Command members, Cornered Rats, and of course, normal players. We are currently 600+ members strong. With the Host Squad Program on a roll, we are looking to open our ranks to any Allied players that are interested in contributing to building WWIIOL:BGE and its community, or just looking for a place to call home. 14th Homepage 14th Forums Leaders of the 14th Tactical Operations Brigade include: CO: Genxs | Zone-of-Control Specialist XO: Ow | Attack OIC / Capture Expert XO: ZACH | Master of the Noobs XO: Leviathon1 | The Sharpshooter Recruiter: Slickie1 | The Tank-Expert Recruiter: Nchampagne | The Pilot Recruiter: Anthoine | The Swede Recruiter: Narg | The Late Tier Tanker Recruiter: Toaz | The Loud-Mouth Recruiter: Matamor | The French-Speaker Recruiter Gijoe | Field Recruiter Contact myself (ZACH) or Genxs if you are interested!
