  1. That did point me in the right direction, i installed 13.1 legacy drivers now and now it works
  2. Decided i'd give the welcome back veterans a try. When the game starts i only get a black screen and a second later a popup shows up saying: Video initialization error OpenGL drivers may need to be updated. Click Ok to continue. So i went to the ATI website and used their auto detect tool, which said i was up to date. I downloaded the latest drivers anyways and let it install, no luck, then i went for the beta drivers, also no luck Anyone else have any ideas? I know it's not a new computer, but it's meeting all the minimal requirements. ============ DxDiag stuff ============ ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 11/8/2013, 19:48:12 Machine name: ADRESTIA Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) (9600.winblue_gdr.130913-2141) Language: Dutch (Regional Setting: Dutch) System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: BIOS Date: 01/15/10 19:00:24 Ver: 08.00.12 Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4096MB RAM Page File: 5112MB used, 3078MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled DxDiag Version: 6.03.9600.16384 64bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ Display Tab 1: No problems found. 3. I've had that problem on another game some time ago, i'm not sure what i did to fix that but it was either a heat problem on my gfx card or i fixed it with a driver downgrade. I think it was the heat problem, i fixed that by cleaning up the gfx card fan (it had more dust on it then a warehouse that has been empty for 50 years)
  4. lol, i run a p4!! 3ghz and 1gb ram, gf6600gt and vista and game runs pretty nice untill i get in a big battle When i play navy i got pretty good fps. Busting FB's is going good too.
  5. why would you want to do that?
  6. Try to uninstall the game and then reinstall it. See if that works
  7. that only thing that's different is the power supply and most come with 110 or 220 switches, the inside voltages are all the same.
  8. i got a PIV 3.06GHz, 1gb ram and a 6600GT, im using the latest drivers and get 50fps when im sailing a DD and around the 15 when in a town. When there are alot people around me it drops to about 6-8. Maybe ill try the older drivers in the weekend and see what happens.
  9. i just type in the service in google and see what it is and does. if i can go without i disable it
  10. turn off SSE2 works fine for me
  11. It does work, just have to turn off SSE2
  12. There have been reports of this before: http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/showthread.php?t=123203 Might find some info about it there.
  13. maybe you already did, but try disabling SSE2 in the game settings. It might work
  14. YAY got it all to work, i still had the gamer in xp compat. when i disabled that i had sound and mouse! run down: Onboard audio - Disabled Soundblaster - Enabled No compability mode. Haven't played it yet, but i got sound and mouse Thanks for the advice Wingnut
  15. I got the audio to work now, i disabled the onboard audio system so only the SB is activated. The game now uses the Soundblaster stuff. Only problem now is the mouse isn't working anymore and i don't know how that is related to eachother lol
