  1. Yes, but at least it not as bad as this "ACHTUNG!ALLES TURISTEN UND NONTEKNISCHEN LOOKENSPEEPERS!DAS KOMPUTERMASCHINE IST NICHT FÜR DER GEFINGERPOKEN UND MITTENGRABEN! ODERWISE IST EASY TO SCHNAPPEN DER SPRINGENWERK, BLOWENFUSEN UND POPPENCORKEN MIT SPITZENSPARKEN.IST NICHT FÜR GEWERKEN BEI DUMMKOPFEN. DER RUBBERNECKEN SIGHTSEEREN KEEPEN DAS COTTONPICKEN HÄNDER IN DAS POCKETS MUSS.ZO RELAXEN UND WATSCHEN DER BLINKENLICHTEN. "
  2. If there was a scripting interface, users could create thir own scripts and create custom battles. They could pay to "rent" one sector of the campaign map where their server script would be running things. I would use it to create a line of ai's and have players to break through it.
  3. Were it possible, you could control multiple characters. 1. Place token in world to represent the unit the player is jumping out of. 2. Delete the token of the inactive unit in world the player is jumping into. 3. Warp the player to the location of above no.2 3. Transform the player to the type of unit no .2 was In this way, a player could control multiple characters, one at a time.
  4. _possible_? (After already spawned in) 1. Warp player to new location. 2. Transform player to different vehicle/infantry.
  5. Steam buyers can't register to the forum. They need to create a 2nd account the normal way and register with that.
  6. tater, Why stop with mortars. You could control ai's of any type and have a bot platoon. To not place a burden on the developers, CRS could have an official, approved method of controlling multiple accounts and let users write bot scripts for them. It could be assumed these multiple accounts are controlled by one user and compress internet traffic on this assumption.
  7. Not if you came in through steam, they cant use the forum.
  8. If its even possible for the server to create objects and vehicles at arbitray locations, perhaps a Lua script (or other) integration could be made and players could create modded battle scenarios.
  9. Definitely don't try to uncamp a fms. Spawn inf, throw smoke, die, repeat. How about a player rating system. You can select a player near you and leave a comment. In the above scenario "uncamped fms". Or "smg lag wizard". This could be abused, but you could sort comments about other players based on your own rating of the commenter. IE when you examine other players ratings players you like have their comments at top of list, players you don't know have comments at bottom of list or hidden.

  11. Not a chance?
  12. Would it be possible or feasible to be able to dynamically deploy a continuous line of many ai's outside of towns? When they fire or are destroyed an icon appears on the map. This is a replacement for the ews.
  13. I assume this is not even possible, but you can imagine things. A special logistics class can lay waypoints (and name them) that may or may not be represented physically as a road signs to connect spawn areas. He or a responsible authority can then open a special screen and order spawn points to transfer between connected spawn areas. This can occur on several layers of detail. 1. Virtual. Spawn points appear at their destinations after a delay calculated by the waypoint path distance and elevation gain and unit movement speed. 2. Static objects. Units traversing waypoints represented as static ground objects that periodically disappear and move down their path at infrequent intervals. One minute, 5 minutes etc. 3. Ai controlled unit moving in real time. What should happen when the enemy is able to observe the convoy complicates matters. If this could even be done at all, fuel and supply transport, supply dumps, vehicle breakdowns and repair could be added.
  14. Special server to test new ideas. Area is only two cities and campaign lasts only one day. Experimental clients containing the tested features can be downloaded by those who want to participate.
