  1. Rolled back ATI Drivers to 8.10 and am able to run anti-aliasing at 4x and higher with no problems except some fps loss. I have much better graphics in game with no cdt or sawtooth edges. Not sure if the problem is the drivers or the game.
  2. OK so with version 9.3 version of drivers and Control Center I couldn't get the Anti-aliasing to run in the game, only offline. Not sure what the problem is but when I rolled back the version to 8.10; it works just fine. I was only having a problem when I tried to run SMOOTHVISION HD: Anti-Aliasing !! I will do some more testing with settings for picture quality and frame rate and post what I found.
  3. I've been fooling with the Catalyst Control 3D setting for my 2 powercolor 4850 512mb cards and atm I am running all but SMOOTHVISION HD:Anti-Aliasing and triple buffering in Advanced Catalyst A.I. Still running 9.3 drivers but ATI recommended 8.10 as a more stable version. What I'm getting is Edge problems; jagged edges and moving edges on objects. I though Anti-Aliasing would be the thing to fix this graphics problem.
  4. W000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000T !!!!!!!!!!!! This fixed the problem!!!! I changed Smoothvision HD Anti-Aliasing to Use Application settings. Running the 9.3 ATI Drivers. "Card settings that freeze the game online at the map, do not freeze the game offline." My offline game was working fine it was online I was having a problem. I am also having a problem with running the CFS3 extention Over Flander Field/Between Heaven and Earth; it would lock up as soon as I went to the Controller panel. I'll check to see it this might be the cause.

  6. hmm, I've got this issue on my new computer. Though it was the hard drive because System Mechanic says; hard drive repair needed, system checks it out and does nothing but when I do disk check I get the same message. I'm running two HD 4850 512mb cards in Crossfire Mode and have been having this issue since the new mobo and 2nd video card, about a week. I was running the game before on just one of the video cards with antialising set to application. I was running 8.11 drivers and Catalyst Control Center. I can roll back the drivers and see if that works!
  7. This question has probably been answered so if someone could direct me to the thread I would apprecaite the gesture. I'm having a problem running the game, new system install but it was the reason I did the new XP PRO install. I load the game and after I Select Brigade the game locks up, doesn't respond. I never had any problems until just a little while ago but hey I guess it happens. I have some doubts about the hard drive because System Mechanic said I had errors in the Hard Drive and it kept showing the same message after every system disk scan. I'm also wondering if maybe my game port isn't correct or something like that. Thanks
  8. Nope not a bios problem; I wish it were that easy. Thinking of sending the computer back and letting ibuypower put in a Asus Rampage Formula Intel X48 Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE1394, Dual PCI-E MB it will allow 2 PCI-E slots to run at 16x and is super for overclocking. It comes with some nice audio hardward too. Audio SupremeFX II Audio Card ADI 1988B 8 -Channel High Definition Audio CODEC Coaxial / Optical S/PDIF out ports at back I/O ASUS Noise Filter I have to ship it to ibuypower and pay them $290. for the updated board. They will pay for shipping. Not getting it right the first time cost me about $130... Kinda pissed because I thought the P5Q Pro would run full crossfire. Asus told me the P5Q Pro crossfire is more for running two video card and using two monitor. Anyone using the Asus Rampage Formula?? S! adhara
  9. From what ATI told me the cards won't be controlled by the control center. I won't be able to change the fanspeed or overclock for both cards only one card. From what he said it's because the mobo pci-e slots only operate at 8x and they need to be running at 16x to show up running in crossfire mode; he crossfire line will appear and I can activate the crossfire mode. adhara
  10. I would have thought there were some people using this motherboard and these video cards. Isn't there anyone out there running crossfire with this hardware?
  11. Benchtest only recognizes one 4850 512mb card but the Device Manager shows two, the control center does shows one as primary adapter and one as disabled adapter. Identical card are shown though. I've got ATI's phone number and I'll call tech support tomorrow see if they can help. If not I'm going to sent the computer back to ibuypower to change the mobo or whatever. I am tired of fooling with the damn thing. S! adhara
  12. I just got another ATX 4850 512MD3-DH video card to go with the one that came with the computer. I have an Asus P5Q Pro mobo and for some reason the Crossfire line isn't appearing in the advanced section of the Catalyst Control Center. I think I have everything hooked up right; Crossfire Bridge and PCI-E connector. Not sure what I'm missing if anything. Would appreciate the help as much or more as in the past. Really looking forward to running two video cards in Crossfire mode. S! Adhara
  13. Will do! I did as you suggested and I no longer get any messages on startup!! w00000000000000t!! Thanks layzboy !!
