  1. I bet there aren't too many footsteps at 5km above sealevel
  2. db7 supply is a concern, they do run low/out regularly.
  3. I'm in the bay area but I already have plans for Saturday.
  4. always happens when you in the middle of a large open field. Gotto remember to pre-emtively deploy/undeploy in every opportunity.
  5. that's the problem with getting old, start having trouble remembering where you parked your airplane.
  6. waypoint only show up on maps, target and origin never change. The green triangle on the map points at the waypoint.
  7. This game runs 1 thread for most of the processing, but there is a small amount of computation that is done in a second thread. afaik single core performance is still the best thing to optimize for (for this game at least). A dual core may be slightly better if the individual cores are equal to the performance of a single core processor. More than two cores is overkill for this game. And then we still have to consider what else is running on your system, which may skew the balance closer to dual or more cores. Erik
  8. The annual "Wings of Freedom Tour" of the Collins foundation is visiting the part of California where I live mid-May through mid-June. Anyone thinking of attending one of the locations? I'm very close to Moffett field (about 2 miles, so I will have them fly over my roof for a week) but I probably can do anywhere from Monterey to Sacramento. Erik
  9. The "majority" is prone to the exact same thing. Erik
  10. money spent on hardware dwarfs subscription costs

  12. > each player post if they do or do not use TS and why I do use it almost always, because it's often easier to talk than it is to type.
  13. it used to be like that and it was poor game play.
  14. info about various 730 models http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-730/specifications You posted a link to a card with the ddr3/128 bit mem, which is listed as the slowest. GT 730 GDDR5 should be a bit better. This one perhaps? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KYCTCZ8?keywords=gt%20730%20ddr5&qid=1454833157&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3 Anyone else using older cards that can chime in on what to expect from a card like this?
  15. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html FWIW, the card you listed is 2 levels above the card I got in 2005, and 7 below what I got a few years ago.
