800 by 600 joy

since the beta and the new game patch the game wil only run in 800by 600 no matter what settings i choose?

i think ill dig out my voodoo card and 386:(

I would uninstall the beta to make sure you're not changing the wrong settings. Then, with the live version, go into the Battleground Europe folder and run settings.exe directly from there.

Does settings keep the resolution you set it to or does that always reset?

i have gone to exactly the right settings folder, i had the same bug with the beta so im deleting that now

no matter which setting i pick it loads 800by600 have tried every setting now

If you open wwiiol.cfg (in your BE folder) with notepad does it say 800x600x32 or does it have what you selected in settings? You can also try changing this text manually.

if for some reason wwiiol.cfg says 800X600X32

edit it in notepad to read 1024X768X32, or the resolution of your choice.

And dumb question but is your desktop 800X600?

and is there any video setting in your drivers that would force a 3d app to

run as desktop rez?

Also make sure your correct video card is chosen, and if you have a dual display card or a tv out card, make sure the game doesnt have the 2nd display or tv out picked, and on some cards enabling tv out forces an 800X600 rez on your monitor.

having same problem have deleted test and cfg file reads correct resoultion but game is still running 800*600 res with no OSA (4x).

1280 by 1024 desktop, off to try your suggestions will let you know

cfg says

resolution 1152x864x32

altering it has no affect to my game

Ditto, I "know" they disabled AA in BETA because of nVidia issues with the bloom, but thought they'd take that out when it went live

I uninstaled game and playnet, deleted folders and reinstalled form latest full install and still have same low res game. Have latest driver form nvidia.

DL test sat and played once had low res then patched this morning and had problem with main server.

re installed nvidia still no joy going to stay out of game for a while untill someone has some idea :(

still have the issue, running LCD native res in everything on the PC (1280x1024)

hope CRS fixes this.

and about the bloom with FSAA, only the ATI X1*** series cards can do both.

Same thing here, tried the post render idea, no go. Newest drivers from Nvidia running 2 7800's SLI stuck in 800x600

actualy during beta, i turned AA on with a 9700 pro, and a 9800 AIW pro

i had to force it on in the drivers if i remember right.

Im not thinking those 2 qualify for the X1 family?

Thats interesting dosent really solve us nvidia boys problems , unless there is a way of forcing my graphics card to run at the desired resolution.

Which is not a fix but a get over anyway.

CRS PLEASE find out what is causing this problem. Its costing us some players and we need 'em in-game before they quit and unsub!
