I remember something like that from the patch when they introduced the xml config file. Back then the sound card entry was corrupted because I had a foreign language letter in the sound card name. Probably something related here ... you could post your wwiiol.xml file just for the kick

hmm didn't check the file for a while , seems they doing it with CLSIDs instead of the simple sound card names these days. Guess it's another bug. Sorry. (still ... did you try to change the sound card settings in the settings.exe? )

We put in a network-access check before the loading screen when playing online so that Firewalls would display there "Allow this app?" before the game got started.

So - that could indicate your firewall is not allowing the game network access or preventing it accessing ports 27015-27021 TCP *and* UDP.

1: i updated drivers

still crashing

2: no firewall

3: help me

Windows has a built in firewall. Disable it and see if that helps.

ah ha! that was my question to you before. Is there a tool in the CRS folder to check that UDP has full round trip access to the servers?

See if it starts in Practice Offline mode. If it does, then it's connection related. If it doesn't, it's not.

So, it does the exact same thing for offline mode? Then don't worry about anything connection/firewall related.

Try with SSE2 disabled.

Did you successfully play 1.26.1?

Did you install and have any problems with the 1.27 beta?

Zip up your dxdiag.txt and attach it to your next post:

Click Start

Run

Type: dxdiag

Click OK

When it loads, click "Save All Information". It will prompt you for a filename. Simply click OK and it will save as "dxdiag.txt". Normally it saves to your desktop, but if not, then take note of where it does save the file. After the file is saved, click "Exit" in dxdiag.

You have to zip or rar it up to attach it to a post.

Nothing wrong there. I think you need to:

1. Uninstall the game

2. Copy your CFML file to a safe location. It's at C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe\Data\cfml

3. Delete your Battleground Europe folder

4. Install with the Full Install. Make sure you select your video and sound card at the end. Don't leave it on "Primary Driver".

5. Copy your CFML folder back (it's your keymap settings)

Do you have any other versions of the game install (like the beta, still)? If so, uninstall them and delete their folders.

I assume you've already tried a cold reboot of your system, too.
