      New Community Volunteer Opportunity   04/29/2017

With the looming Steam release, we are anticipating many new players to the game. This is great for all of us, and it's important that we retain as many as we can. With that in mind, we'd like to enlist players to help with the inevitable questions asked in the forums. Ideally, gameplay questions are asked and answered in-game, but it's not always easy or convenient to answer questions while playing. A Gameplay Support Forum would be a good place for those who want to help. We are now accepting volunteers for the Rat Patrol, who will provide correct and consistent info to new players in the Forums. The more new players we retain, the better it is for the game and the biggest hurdle in player retention is grasping the complexities of this game. If you are interested, send me a PM.

Squad Leaders Contact GVONPAUL OR Dodger for Squad Forums   05/18/2017

      Soldiers!

We are seeking Squad Leaders to volunteer their squads to help us test the upcoming Squad Forums system. This system will integrate squads who wish to participate into a self-sustained "forum within a forum." You will be able to add members to your squad, assign permissions, and create forums/calendar events on your own. The idea behind this system is part of our commitment to support squads as a integral part of our community. This service will be offered free of charge to all squads of World War II Online upon launch. Our goal is to offer all of the services a squad off-site forum can offer but free of charge and tied in to our existing forum service. So what do you need tested? We need willing volunteers to test the whole system - make forums, post threads, assign permissions, etc. The idea is to have several squads giving it a test run to point out any flaws before we launch it publicly. What are the requirements? We are ideally looking for medium to large squads - Ideally ten people or so plus, but smaller squads feel free to apply - and a willingness to use our platform. It's important to note (as of now - these may be included at a later date) we are unable to convert posts from a private forum if your squad previously used one, and you (or your XO's and recruiters) will need to assign individual members permissions. It is entirely possible that in the future this system will be automatically linked to the game's squad roster, but as of now developer priorities are elsewhere (1.37 and steam, w00t!) How do I sign up? PM me ( @Dodger ) on the forums, or email me at dodger@playnet.com - Please indicate your squad name and how many members you have. I will get back to you with more instructions.

[ALLIED] 13th Infantry Regiment (13INF)

The 13th Infantry Regiment is an all Allied squad. We are are EU/US TZ squad which has strongest numbers through early EU Prime until Early US prime. We also have players during the 'low-pop' hours also.

Our numbers are between 20-30 most nights during our primetime hours, making us one of the largest Euro Timezone Allied squads...and increasingly larger in US prime.

Our main objective is to have fun whilst getting the job done. We have good representation in High Command and have received many citations for our efforts in past campaigns.

Our title suggests purely infantry operations, yet we tend to try our hand at everything. Our main mission types are:

FB Busting/Defending

Setting up Attacks with Multiple MSPs and ATGs

Para drops on fresh AOs

Naval Operations including DD convoys and Amphibious assaults using Transport ships and FMBs.

Armour Columns

Bombing Raids

Fighter Sweeps

All of the above we are very acomplished at executing and you will find fun operations are a regular occurence in the 13th Inf.

We like to use Teamspeak as much as possible to promote a friendly atmosphere and also make us more effective in combat too.

Our forum (www.13inf.com/forum) is the 'control centre' for the regiment where we have a strong community and a huge amount of information for new players is located in our training and intel sections.

Many players feel they don't spend enough time in game to be part of a squad or feel that they will be 'tied down' by a squad. This is definitely not the case with the 13th. Anyone is welcome even if they only play one or twice a week. In fact if you have less time in game, our squad is a good way of finding more fun and action in a shorter space of time.

If you don't want to be tied down then that is fine too as we allow our players some 'lone wolfing' time provided they communicate with us and join in whenever they are available.

For new recruits we are ideal. We have taken on hundreds of new players and shown them the ropes, some of which have gone on to become some of the best in the game. We thrive on recruits and provide a perfect place for learning how to play WW2OL. We do our best to help you gain rank and have a lot of patience for the greenest players.

Our language may sometimes be 'colourful', our humour may sometimes be 'black', but our intentions are always those for the best of our members.

If you are interested in joining the 13th, please register at our forum and post a thread or PM one of the following players: khbigjoe, bob1724, woolef, parra00, rwt, bulldog, ltzing, pickaway, bigrow

Welcome to the 13th Infantry Regiment...for Grown Men Who Should Know Better!

The 13th is an allied squad which has many experienced players and has been formed for a year. We have 10-20 active members at the moment, with 10 on average per night at any one time. We are looking to make it a regular 20 for now.

We are simply looking for any players who want a regular group of players to work alongside in game, specially anyone new to the game. We dont take things too seriously, all we ask is that we work together, play allied only and have fun! The squad is based in europe mainly but we have plenty of members from the USA and a few from Australia.

We play mainly ground but do turn our hands to other areas of the game too, with a few very experienced pilots in our ranks.

We are here to help any players new to the game too, so if you are struggling to get the hang of it the 13th will be there to help!

Finally, many players are put off, thinking they will be told what to do, forced into things, or tied down by squads. This is not the case with us, we are very casual and even if you only play weekends, it is good to be part of our squad as we always help eachother out, that lift you need with your ATG is there, or a C47 for a para drop. We are always in the thick of the action so if you have trouble finding it, you wont anymore if you join our squad.

If you are interested, either PM me or visit http://www.13inf.com/forum and give us a shout.

Hope to see you on the battlefield :-)

an update...since posting we have grown a lot and are now among the larger euro timezone squads now, we have 15 online most nights with a potential of 20+ from our 'regulars' and together with a long list of total members we have a pretty established and 'noob' friendly squad always willing to show new players how its done and still have fun!

We use our own TS and on squad nights will now be usng AHC ts - most squaddies are logged into TS whislt in game whether on or off mic
