So it starts in 1.5 hrs?

lol

That's my understanding. I've been poking around the training server catching up on the DB7. I also flew a Hawk81 through a factory (*cough*easymode*). That was fun, and a nice substitute now that we can't fly through the hangar doors.

Yeah, I think we had a decent turnout of the bomber pilots and TGs, but not a single Low group escort showed, and heard the rest didn't fare better. Low would have made it I think to bomb release if we had at least 2 fighters with us.

Here's my comment, which applies equally to every realism event I've ever been a part of:

People don't show up. This is to some extent impossible to plan for as people have lives and the situation changes (I understand, my work schedule can change on an hour's notice). But first of all sometimes the sides aren't balanced even on paper before the event, and regardless, time needs to be taken once everyone is gathering on the server to make sure there's at least some semblance of balance.

Like, hmm the low bombers don't have a single escort. That might be a problem. Even if you don't ask people to side switch, at least get some from another group to fill in, or ask some bombers to become fighters and consolidate into fewer groups so they are all covered.

I know in previous events (maybe under Pillbox's organization?) we used to take like an hour to line everybody up. It made the events rather long and maybe boring for some, but it gave a chance for the GM to run the buzzard around and make sure everybody was accounted for and to shift people as needed. I think the policy was something like you show up an hour in advance to claim your assigned equipment and anybody who shows up late gets put wherever they're needed.

Since we have only one chance in these events, I don't mind how much time it takes to make sure that our brief bit of combat gives us a chance to survive.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I just came back home. Any screenshots ?

I would like to thank Jammymann for putting in the effort! Respect Sir!

Would have been great if we had call numbers and spread people out...making it fun for everyone in the form of being fair as pos!

I know if I was in a fighter, Brit, French or Axis...I would have enjoyed a fight more than just a turkey shoot

I think we can only learn and use that to make it better next time!

S!
