Unfortunately those error messages don't mean much to anyone except the programmers, and they rarely visit this forum.

Please post your DxDiag specs (Start > Run > dxdiag.exe > Save all information), we just need to see the System Information, Video Devices, Sound Devices and System Devices sections. From that, we can tell if there is a hardware or driver incompatibility that is causing your problems.

Give this a try.

Go into your Nvidia control panel. Then click on manage 3d settings. And click Restore to default. Then try to game again see if you still have Problems.

This is a driver error or a Hardware problem with the video card.

I run Ultimate 64 bit Vista and I have no issues at all, maybe you should try a non beta driver for your Video Card, did you try that?

I don't see anything wrong with those specs (except the beta Nvidia driver). Do you get any Nvidia error messages while running any other programs? I used to get an graphics driver error while playing Neverwinter Nights, which could possibly cause the type of errors you describe.

You may also want to test your RAM. Set up a boot disk with Memtest, and run the program as described on that web site. Frequent BSOD's make me think there might be a problem with your hardware.

i did the the ram with memtest about 2 month before when i just built the system and ran into same problems

18hrs or so of memtesting no errors found

i can do it again but i doubt i will find anything

I dont even see that 98 driver on the nvidia website anymore.

only 177.92 beta.

But if you read on the nvidia forums or the www.3dguru.com forums, it seems 177 is not that stable for quite a few.

ive got this 98 driver from 3dguru site also

anyways i think i solved the blue screens by getting the timers right on the ram

thingie is that my mobo is shat with SPD memory so i had to manually set them

back when i bought the mobo it didnt support 1600mhz ddr3 but after the latest bios it dupport it

now i have it as per intel site regarding compatible ocz memory like mine

400mhz base freq 1600 mhz 8-8-8-24@1.70v (which is what actually my memory says it is in the specs) and no more blue screens

the SPD detected the memory as (by setting it as Auto)

1333mhz 7-7-7-20@1.54v

now everything looks stable, no more hangs on suspended etc etc

what im left with is nvidia driver crashes and recovery but the game is bye bye

any option but waiting for the magic driver update?

Hi Dark

Had the same error basically tried everything for 2 days straight then reinstalled vista. My problem appeared after i played around with DPI settings for fonts

But as I see it from the bug forum there are several solutions as there are different causes

Cheers

Another thing that Vista seems to be very touchy about is sync of video.

So try and tick vertical sync in the video settings of WWII and see if that helps.

they got new driver out 178.13 but still same shat

at least i definately got the memory times right as i tried to play for 3-4hrs yesterday and never got any blue screen but only the nvidia driver stopped functioning and recovered error

so its the only thing left wrong

i tried with vert sync on and off and still it crashes

I had the same problem when I moved over to Vista on a new computer.

First time it was faulty memory in the GPU, second time (after they replaced the GPU) it was just a question of sync, as mentioned above.

So run some really tough GPU test programs and see if you can get the same error message. When I get back home I'll see what programs they ran on my computer to give you an idea of what to test.
