Dec 13th - Route Z : First Day at Dunkirk

36 posts in this topic

"Route Z"

Evacuating Dunkirk May 27th 1940

This scenario requires round trips for groups of DD/TT to make 1 round trip from Dunkirk to Dover or Dover to Dunkirk (depending on where they begin the scenario) ... the path they must take is Route Z which for game purposes means they need to stay within 2000m of the French coast from the Dunkirk Harbor to opposite Calais where they are free to turn to Dover (or the reverse if starting from Dover.)

Axis can employ any number of Artillery located along the coast from Gavelines-Dunkirk FB to Calais.

Both sides can employ aircraft, but this is limited to a maximum of 5 Allied and 9 Axis at any one time, all other axis must be on the ground (Ramsgate/St Omer)

This is "single life" for the DD/TT only...allied air and axis air/ground can respawn at will.

Victory is awarded for how much of the round trip each ship makes (based on historical values.)

Example - if TT Mona's Isle goes from Dunkirk to Dover (1st leg) the allies get 14 VP...if Mona's Isle completes the whole round trip the allies will receive another 14 VP for a total of 28 VP for the round trip, etc.

The single exception to this is the DD Wolfhound on the Dover to Dunkirk leg she is transporting Captain William Tennant and his staff to Dunkirk where he will supervise the loading efforts and is instrumental in the success of the overall Dunkirk evacuation...if the Wolfhound is sunk prior to arriving at Dunkirk the allies receive -35 VP.

It's 12:00 o'clock noon, isn't it?

If so, I'd like to take a 109 spot, please.

Think that'd be 3:00pm East Coast time.
