1.30 Bugs

I try to pay attention to where my cursor is before opening the map, just in case it may be hovering over a friendly unit. Since doing that I've been able to avoid map crashes.

The last one is the oddball particle crash that is the result of a memory overwrite somewhere else in the code. Fortunately it's somewhat rare. I'll need a faster computer (hopefully soon) to be able to run a full suite of memory testing tools to find this one. My G5 is simply too wimpy.

I cannot move any haulers online, they work offline.

Skdf same

251 cant even get it to move forward ingame.

No JS control except hat switch for Navy fams....

I can however control with keyboard. I want my JS functions back.

Also, I must be getting alot of packet loss while flying, either that or the RATs upped the DM beyond rediculous for allied planes (jks)

I get 125FPS flying until I see EA and it drops to sub 30 to 12 FPS.

Ground fighting is now 10-25 FPS. I can eek out about another 5 FPS by drop vis distance to low.

G5 2.66 quad

4 Gigs ram

7300GT 256.

Packet loss is caused by crappy routers between you and the game servers (or other peoples network connection being crappy).

There is something in the game which is affecting a % of people on both platforms that reduces FPS for no apparent reason. This may be fixed in 1.31 as the engine is quite different, the existing code will not be fixed since its ded soon anyway.

Note that G5's still suck more than the latest intels for sure, though yours is still fairly decent.

Make sure you don't have the settings (in game) set to keyboard control instead of joystick control. I made the same error at one point. Keyboard control means NO joystick support. Its a dropdown on the bottom right I think. Check at the high levels (planes, tanks) first.

my G5 is an Intel 667mhz model, I have a G5 Imac 1066mhz model with a NVidia 4500M and 4 Gigs ram otw, should be here tomorrow or Thursday.

JS works for tanks, aaa guns etc... just not Navy and any of the haulers.

Yes I did DL the beta, should I get rid of it?

Do you mean a Mac Pro Quad 2.66? The case looks like a G5, but that's where the similarity ends.

If your joystick is working but dragging to one side no matter how many times you calibrate it, but works fine with other games, it could be the beta.

To fix that (if indeed its the problem), launch Terminal and enter

defaults delete com.playnet.ww2ol-beta

and hit enter.

This will delete the beta configs. Deleting the app makes no difference.

Terminal is in /Applications/Utilities

Lol I missed that. Yes G5 is a CPU, Intel Core Duo is a CPU, they're not the same at all. G5's are obsolete (or will be soon) and Apple hasn't used them in a couple years or more.
