I just crashed rolling over someone's inf icon on the map. It felt just like the old (?) 10-character bug, where it didn't give me enough time to see the name, it just CTD'd as soon as I (accidentally) passed the icon.

I have no clue whether or not his name was 10 characters...I just didn't even expect it.

EDIT: If it helps, I'm 99% sure he was on my mission (I set up UMS and he was very close to it along with the rest of the ant trail coming out of it; the blues I chose for mission and regular are a bit close to tell apart easily, so color didn't help).

I'm not in a squad, so it definitely wasn't that for me.

No crash but I am having serious USB(?) problems.

I have reported the same problem before but it is becoming really frustrating.

The symptoms are similar to the inf jitter but the mouse doesn't seem to be affected. In this case its USB devices like a joystick. All sudden an axis will begin moving in stops an starts with tremendous lag in response. A big drop in FPS doesn't seem to be associated with the occurrence of symptoms. Game becomes completely unplayable. Quitting game with restart will not fix the problem. The symptoms seem worse the busier the scene gets. It feels like an event-handling issue and I have never noticed this issue in prior releases.

config: iMac 24", 10.5.7, ati 2400

Thats really odd, you're the only person I think who has this problem with the joystick. What do your USB busses have connected to them? Is the mouse/key board on a different bus than the joy?

I've been seeing that happen mostly on launch of the Map. Its not the 10char, but may be related to having a 10 char name on your mission. I think this leads to a random memory overwrite, which I am looking for right now.

Hmm, interesting, I wish we could figure out what is being moused over. This is different than the 10char stack crawl. Maybe there is another place later in the process that doesn't handle it correctly either, that we never saw since the first crash would happen. I wish I could get it to happen for me.

Got it to happen, it is a new 10 char rollover bug, not related to the old one, but clearly hidden by the first. Ah, this code is so irritating!

Edit: Seems to only happen if you are on a mission with a 10char AND you rollover them. Any other combo is fine.

Found it, same kind of bug as the last one but far more subtle. We may have to put out a version I will ask.

Are you guys gonna pay me for all the days i cant get online in your game? Powers hubs down....now it says i need a patch 13011302.dmg is flawed though and so is the auto DL from in game....just another wasted day that we have to pay for...why release this game for Mac if everyone says thay cant fix the issues? Still cant mark my map...map makes me crash a lot...and FPS is way down since new version, why do I even bother? If it wasnt for all the BS issues this is a great game...at least in concept...so who here handles refunds?

Same for me. It's like there was a patch 1.30.3 (according to the name of the file) and I'm unable to download it.

Someone pushed the wrong button on the way out the door. There is an internal 1.31 beta that shouldn't have affected anything live but somehow it did. I have no idea how to fix this without someone more ratlike flipping the flipping switch. It's not in the code, its in the server. I don't know how to get to the flipping switch to flip it.

If you see Particle anywhere in the stack trace stuff, thats all the same bug, which is an overwrite bug I've been chasing for a while. It's always related to explosions or smoke and happens totally randomly. It's on my list for next week.

Ok, this isnt new, but when the hell is this ML cant mark thing and the impossibility to put more than 1 waypoints (and give em names) gonna be fixed?

It is seriously affectin gameplay, marks are the most important thing to help in-spawning players to get an idea what the defense/attack in town looks like.

Personally i'm the type of player that always checks out towns with ews to see if an attack is inbound. If so i scramble for help, but geez, without the possibility to mark it's about the same if no scout would've been in town.

Any hope to get this fixed before 1.31 :confused:

Its in Olivers court, something the server is eating is giving it indigestion. 1.31 is likely the fix time.

Water Bug?

I just spawned in from a MSP near Wuust. It was night time. about 10 m in front of the msp was what appeared to be a large body of water. When I stepped into the water (which no one else saw), I immediately sunk into the ground and died. Those around me watched as I was sucked under ground. Everyone else was able to continue onto the mission without a problem.

Weird....

After daylight, it just turned into a giant while hole in the ground that everyone fell into and died. Must be axis hack
