Not sure what that would have to do with DNS issues on there part? Its 11:45 and I cant get in either here in the US. Central time zone. Im on a Dedicated T1 and if I turn it off I end up getting 2-3 calls from ATT letting me know the router is down. So not a option this late at nite ...but still not sure what resetting my router has to do with there DNS issues? I hope this gets updated soon. Anyone else still unable to log?

Edit hosts file from path

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

add line

66.28.224.240 auth.playnet.com

Flushdns didn't work on win7 but this worked on XP and win7.

Vista 64: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts -> open with notepad

Add: 66.28.224.240 auth.playnet.com to a new line.

Problem resolved.

FlushDNS has no effect on this problem.

Modem/Router/Reboots have no effect on this problem.

So it would appear that playnet expiring a year early, resulted in some vendor re-activating the playnet login under a different IP than it was before?

So how do you patch everyone when everyone can't even log into the patcher? I'd think you need to restore the original IP that everyone is trying to connect to still. Or, you could post a download patch on the site. But then everyone who has edited their hosts file will have to re-edit again? Awesome.

Oh and remove the note that says 'Domain issues resolved'

Until they actually have been.

The host file addon fixed mine(XP)

If you are using XP go too

C:\System32\Drivers\Etc

Windows 7 and vista C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

_________________________________________________________________

Open the HOSTS file in notpad and edit it too look like:

# Copyright © 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.

#

# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.

#

# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each

# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should

# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.

# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one

# space.

#

# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual

# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.

#

# For example:

#

# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server

# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

66.28.224.240 auth.playnet.com # add this line and save(I use XP)

Unable to get on for second day. Flushing the DNS didn't fix. Finally get some time off this weekend to "relax" with the squad and I can't..........

Bummed out :(
