Looking for graphic cards for slim computers

9 posts in this topic

Anyone who can help me look for some small graphics cards? I'm having a tough time finding one small enough to fit in my computer since its a bit slim. Last one I bought was a Galaxy geforce 9400 slim card and that was barely small enough to fit.

Now I know nothing much about computers but I believe it has a PCI express x16 slot. I need one that is not very tall or too wide.

A picture of the inside as it is now and what size limitations you have might be a good idea, otherwise it's hard to make a real suggestion.

Galaxy also makes a SFF 9600GS low power. That is probably as good as you are going to find with your Powersupply and case.

This is the absolute best for slim-fit video cards

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129144

Radeon HD 4650 ~ 155.99

But for the price of that card....

PNY XLR8 VCG98GTEE1XEB GeForce 9800 GT 104.99

(45% faster then that Ati card quoted, No additional power source needed)

ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 29.99

Take all your parts out of your stack, and toss it in that ATX case.

I made a mistake, its actually a galaxy 9600 geforce card not 9400.

That galaxy card just barely can fit in my computer so I will probably have to get a card of equal width and height.

I got laptops bigger then that thing :P

whats the problem. is it to long?

If its to wide, then i'd just run it with the side of the case off, computers always stay cooler anyways with the side of the chassis off.
