As for hotels TownePlace Suites dosen't have smoking rooms? glad i haven't booked our room yet then.

No they don't... I looked online and they have a no-smoking policy in the entire hotel and a waiver thing you singn for the room, so if you smoke in it anyway you get charged a fee for ozone cleaning treatment...

Got this from Mel, our office administrator:

If anyone wants to make it a more extended trip, some who are flying in may want to add a leg to their flight and fly down to Houston, rent a car and drive to Galveston (or just rent a car and drive down from here for an overnight trip over the weekend—Galveston is only about 45 minutes south of Houston) and attend the Lone Star Flight museum…they have a lot of WWII era planes (don’t know if they’re all U.S. or include other allied) on display. They also give flights aboard the WWII planes...some who have the funds might enjoy…if I recall there is/are certain plane(s) that they sell flights for each Saturday in the summer. Some others are on a particular schedule only.

There is also a WWII destroyer escort (which if I remember correctly is one of only a handful remaining) and a sub on exhibit that you can tour in Galveston. It’s at Seawolf Park.

And in LaPorte, which is southeast of Houston between there and Galveston, the USS Texas Battleship is on exhibit at San Jacinto State Historical Site, which you can also tour.

USS Texas Battleship

Anyway, just thought I’d pass on the info just as FYI and/or suggestions for folks for activities and other possible things to do at future gatherings and events organized by the players.

The only agenda for this event is Rally at Buffalo Wilds Wings @ 6 PM to meet and greet.

We will be organizing a field trip Saturday late morning ( after appropriate hangover recovery time) and heading to Cavanaugh flight museum.

Ask at BWW on friday if you are interested in going...

The Rats are coming hungry and thirsty so lets get em fed, drunk happy, and working on 1.32...:D

Looking forward to seeing you folks on Friday. I live about an hour away (with no traffic), so I will be taking a 1/2 day of vacation on Friday to make sure that I have plenty of time to get there.

I'd like to know too, I'm making a batch of my infamous game video DVDs, plus this year I chunked ALL the pictures I could find on my hard drive that isn't pure training or AHC related, 1 gig of game history, mockery, and terrifying OT material.

You have been warned.....
