Game Crashes to black screen after selecting server--PLEASE HELP!!---

8 posts in this topic

I'm new, just got the trial and I can't even play!!

I downloaded full install and i've been looking at other forums but everything I've tried has failed. I've uninstalled, deleted all files, and reinstalled and still the same thing. I've done the same steps again but restarted my computer, and still same thing.

I get to log in, and select a server, whichever one I pick (campaign or training) and click play.

Once I click play, the game loads real quick, and then it stops, shuts down to a black screen, and then go back to the desktop with no error warning, nothing.....

I have no clue what to do.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit SP2

4gb RAM, currently 314gb free space on hard drive/out of 500gb. I know I can play this game because a long time ago I played it on this laptop but quit because I couldn't get into it, and now I am...please help!!

I'm not sure if this is still a valid workaround but try running game as administrator.

Tried that as well, still no luck

I doubt that my laptop can't handle the requirements because I checked and i at least meet the minimum requirements to run the game.

last time that happened to me it was a error patching the game, so i had to reinstall a fresh download of the full client.

do you have to patch the game when authenticating from your current downloaded install? if its not 0001328 you might try downloading the full install again.

can you goto your start bar and type dxdiag, it'll bring up the DirectX diagnostic menu, Whats your exact processor name, and system memory amount, and your video cards stuff as well on the display tab.
