Kamel, did you not see a slight fps drop between 3.6 and 3.8 on the 920?

I go past 3.6 and either no gain or slight loss. FPS start dropping off noticably above 4ghz.

I guess it could be a ram difference too, maybe I need to try timing my ram da bit looser above 3.6.

No, but I didn't muck around with the lower ranges. Is speedstep kicking in due to heat on yours? That'll reduce your cpu power once your heat level hits a certain level.

I pushed it to 4ghtz and got a FPS increase, but it wasn't stable enough to keep.

Voltage regulators might not have the tolerences you need for a 4.0Ghz overclock on your particular board. (its a guess)

Don't think so, at 4.3 ghz cpu was only just hitting 80c with the game running.

Thats a critically high for a cpu

Also don't exceed 1.5v on the DRAM voltage or you can permanently damage a i7 series processor.

My CPU @ 3.712Ghz tops out at 134f (56.6c)

My mainboard isn't really down with going any higher then that lol. as my VR's start to get Blazing hot at 1.44v

A i7 920 does'nt thermal out till 98C, 80c while testing for short times is no worry.

I've just got a freezer7 cooler, I could go with a better cooler and do 4.3 without worries.

you beat his processor...but X58 is a FULL feature M/B I think u agree compared to teh buget H67/p67's

he is running a triple monitor setup also...which I think makes up for your faster processor. and full CH gear too...

your in 2nd place

both systems must be sweet for this game ....

Yeah but no info on hes audio capabilities. Depends also what youre comparing. By pure power I win :P

Also x58 maybe brings 0.5% speed compared to other p67 mobos.

But yes all in all he still wins even if has crappy audio setup (wich I hope he doesnt. That would be a bummer with other equipment good as that).

You're taking that vento to the grave aren't you?

f@#k yes

You should see it right now, I've got all the plastics off sanding them.

Using some model car filler on the sides to fill in the asus logo

200$ in candy paint chilling in the closet is going to turn it from a standard vento to something that'll look like this

pink+lowrider+paint.jpg

I've got

(House of Kolor)

KC-20

KD-3000

Ballistic yellow (pin stripe)

Aloe Green (pin stripe)

eggshell white (pin stripe)

Heavy metallic silver (base)

Grape Candy (layer 1)

Cherry pop red candy (layer 2)

Flaming orange candy (layer 3)

Burgundy Bob red Candy (layer 4)

Man there are two or three other colors i'm missing.

Also picked up a package of Gold leaf for the front lifters that i'm fiddling with.
