I get keymapper ctd by changing keymaps of individual units, like panzer 3f, rifleman etc.

Changing keymaps for all units, like all tanks, all planes, all guns, there is NO problem.

I could replicate this by deleting my cfml folder. It crashed but it did sabe the default cfml. Weird.

Do you guys have a global.calib file here?

Its happened twice now.

I have gone to change, for example, which key sets flaps on an aircraft and the game has exited.

When I have restarted the game, it tries to load but the screen stays black.

I end up restarting it again, sometimes rebooting the whole computer to get it to load up.

Humm I'm getting this too. I had not remapped anything in forever but a squadie can't get tanks to map to his joystick so I was going to remap a few to get the proper names for the cfml files to have him copy and rename the 1 tank cfml that works for him to the others.

And I get this"

zeke can you lookup who is stated as the owned of your cfml folder? if it's a normal user (if you have any on the computer) or administrator account.

Was getting the same thing over the weekend. NVIDIA card, dropped back one Driver Version and the problem went away.

It's users/John.

Shows as having same permissions as admin.

Test 1

  • launch beta offline
  • goto preferences
  • goto keymapper
  • goto fighters and bombers
  • goto stuka
  • select engine start
  • change to space bar
  • save changes
  • select default keymapper
  • save changes
  • no crashes
  • win7

So what am I missing?

No one answered my above questions.

Is there a fix to this issue? I have the latest version, Windows XP with all SPs.

Crashes on every kind of save of the key mapper no matter what the situation.

Is there some legacy file that needs to be deleted or overwritten?

i don't know after the rats upgraded the gaming engine if this idea still works or not but i remembered before the upgrade you could use some file that already in your main B.E. folder that had your keys mapped already from the live server and all it was a matter of copying and then pasting into another folder, or something like that i went and forgot how it was done,

so what i am saying is i don't know if this idea can still work or not but i just thought i would throw it out there and maybe hopefully it can save a lot of time from relogging back in

Does .conv change the keymapper convergence and save it? Or do I have to do it over and over?

I get CTD without even hitting save button.
