Gaming laptop

11 posts in this topic

Need some guidance, I need to get a gaming laptop that will cope with WW2ol, I'm travelling a lot now so desktop is no good, been asking a lot of squadies what to get. Any advice?. The main issue is I've heard the game is CPU hungry so forking out for a decent gpu is not really needed.

Regards Jamie

Just dont get Intel integrated graphics

If a laptop has integrated graphics of any kind, it is not a gaming laptop.

Get something with in i5 or equivalent at minimum, and be sure to have either 4g ram minimum and upgradable, or 8g and that'll last at least 3 years for any games and have pretty good performance. I'm not familiar with the cards for laptops, but it seems they usually just make them equivalents to their desktop cards, so post some setups you're looking at and we can comment on them. Just pay special attention to what the reviewers say about the cooling capacity of the laptops, as cooling will be very important for a gaming laptop; all that stuff that is normally in your 2'x2'x8" desktop is stuffed in to that laptop.

not unless you plan on playing games that take advantage of hyper threading

This game doesnt..

Save your $$$$ and make sure you get a good dedicated Nvidia based GPU and at the least 4gb of RAM
