As per Hick's advice......

6 posts in this topic

I am having alot of trouble with the game crashing. All sorts of different errors: Lost Host, Timing out waiting for connection, Internal errors, the list goes on.

It has gotten so bad the last couple of weeks I have contemplated ending my subscription. I have un-installed and re-installed, checked my router port allowances, updated drivers, etc.

Here are my spec's from the dxdiag.txt

There was alot of extra information in the dxdiag.txt file that I couldnot post because it amounted to too many characters (exceeded 10,000 limit)

I have added them here:

Do you have much packet loss? Is your ping stable and the same as usual? Most of the issues you mentioned sound connection related. I Don't know much about diagnosing these kind of faults, but i have had similar issues which turned out to be phone line related. Might be worth getting it checked.

Other than that, could you try another router or network card?

S! Mlose

Agreed sounds like something going on with connection. Does it create any error logs?

Thanks guys for the responses. My worst fears might be realized: I have a crappy ISP. It's a DSL radio, no phone lines. And no other choices in my area.

My router is rather new, less than a year. Cisco Linksys E-2100. My ping averages 70-80, sometimes jumps to 200+

Just did a speedtest: Download is 5.92 Mbps and Upload is .31 Mbps, not good

Just updated the firmware on my router and did a speedtest again:

DL= 6.09 Mbps

UL= 1.13 Mbps

Still not very good but better than before.
