What panzer is this?

Looks like a Panzerselbstfahrlafette V to me, which was a prototype, but it took out 22 Russian tanks before it was captured just outside Stalingrad.

It's a prototype tank hunter built on the Pz.IV chassis with the Nickname "****er Max". Only two where manufactured and were put to the eastern front where they were pretty successful in the wide landscape of russia.

Yes, it's a 10,5 cm Selbstfahrlafette.

The one you are thinking of sdkfz251 is the 12,8 cm "Sturer Emil".

10.5cm K18 L/52 auf Panzer-Selbstfahrlafette IVa.

The design began in May of 1941 in two version. One with the 10.5cm and one with the 12.8cm. It was never approved by the Waffenampt and only 2 were produced in the 10.5cm varient. The 12.8cm was just too heavy for the PzIV chassis. The two that were made were turned over to Panzerjager Abteilung 521 and were going to be used in the attack on Gibraltar. But with the beginning of the Soviet offensive they were turned over to the 3rd Panzer Division. During the fight in Russia one was knocked out with a catastrophic ammunition explosion and the 2nd was returned to Germany for study. Both proved well suited for the mission except for the lack of armor.

This is the tank that brought to the forefront the tanks such as the JagdPzIV, the STuH42, JagdPzIV/70a and my much beloved JagdPz IV/70

All of this was from Panzer IV and it's varients by Walter J Spielberger.
