1.19.5 Performance Issues

64 posts in this topic

Since 1.19 release this game has been unplayable in the air... I have tested my memory, drivers, even upgraded to a 3.2E processor. I throw myself here at the mercy of CRS to hopeful get this game to run with steady fps... I have tried to drop my sound, and run at the bare lowest settings and no dice..

If you want this game to succeed fix the performance and worry about the damn eye candy later.

Last patch, I could run in a massive battle at max settings at a smooth, constant 30 FPS.

I tried to go into a quiet fight at Greven in the new patch and my FPS is from 9-11.

If you want CRS support, fill out a ticket at http://support.playnet.com This forum is only regular players.

Post the Display, Sound and Systems Devices sections of your dxdiag as well. Also, post your wwiiol.cfg contents (open it in notepad).

There's nothing wrong there. Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling? You should be getting good performance with that system (like you were before patch).

Gnasche, is the installer installing the lastest DirectX (I believe 9.0B or something like that?) If so, if a player was not running 9.0b previously, could that be a cause of poor performance? I know some of the guys are not using DirectX 9 compatible video cards.

THe 6600 GT is DX9 compatible, so in this case might it not be a case of reinstalling the video drivers after a DX9 update?

It's possible. However he had good performance with this system in 1.18, but lost it all in 1.19.0. If he uninstalls and reinstalls with the latest full install (1.19.5), then it will update DirectX for him.

I have tried a completely fresh install as well as a clean install of winxp pro. I am using directx 9.0c which is the latest version and comes in the windows update.

The video drivers are brand new from nvidia as well, they were released yesterday.

Morning, lemme patch to the .5 live version and take a look.

dumb question but

Radial clutter off?

Tried disabling nvidia trees, or pixel shaders?

just wondering if any of those make a diff?

be back in a few, gotta wake up

Im getting pretty much the exact same result.

was getting 7-9 at Greven last night

Complete reinstall didnt help.

Switched settings from high quality to high performance preset and only got 3-4 fps

athlon 2500@2ghz 6600GT 1gb ram sbAudigy

latest drivers for everything.. no spyware, viruses, trojans, extra processes.

Looking through binocs fps shoots to 30-50 range.

Me fubar now. I was doing fine before the patch now dropping to 7 and 9. I'm running pretty decent stuff tried all the tweaks and such and still screwed. More eyecandy less performance.............. again.

Exactly same problem for me now with a 6600GT, before .5 patch all went fine, now i go from 88 fps in the clean air to 5fps in air battle, also 3 CTD in 30 minutes of playing. And i was one of the lucky players that had not any perfomance issue or CTD before :(

I'm playing with settings now, also with NT mode on and off but by now still same problems.

I had a 9800 pro, but same problems though Nvida 6600 would help.

Yes NT compatability is on,

Yes I have tried to disable clutter ect.. Have tried several different combinations including all off.

Also posted support ticket, Krieger said they are working on it, but offered no further explanation or time frame. I would hope they get this straight before release or it will bomb.

Same here, they told me that they were working on the performance issues, and to just turn our graphics down as if we were still on VooDoo 3s until they fix the problem.

Wrigle, wrigle, wrigle Mr gnasche, come up with any excuse except the truth. When will you people realise that a porked game like this WON'T sell in the shops. Like matey said, sort performance issues out before eye-candy. Check the exception code in my crash logs (and the other 80 or 90 i have) with the exception code in blkhwk8's post...... EXACTLY THE SAME, as are ALL of mine. Pleases me to see that my crashes are not a figment of my imagination, and that someone else is having the same problems.

wierdness abounds.

Game was perfectly playable tonight.

The only thing I did differently was instead of using the shortcuts to open the settings app I browsed to it and ran the program directly.

back to 23-25 fps in heavy fighting today with the new trees that's acceptable at close to highest settings.

I just logged out in disgust.

I have the exact same problems, flying is a pain in the ass since 1.19 on top of that Track-IR has gone fubar since 1.19.5

I decided to give this game a chance again a week ago. Stutters and FPS drops to 5 and below still there.

Flew a 190 30 min ago, had 2 Spit9 kills racked up and was about to land at Gilze. When coming in for landing from east FPS suddenly froze for 30 seconds, it moved 3 frames during these 30 seconds or so then I was dead, crashed into ground.

Took a 109F at Gilze a couple of minutes after that, on the airfield I was evidently standing inside a JU52.

When I gave full throttle to take off FPS went to 0 and the 109 flipped over on the AF! Flipped over... a 109 dont flipp over by giving full gas.

PLEASE FIX THE PERFOMANCE ISSUES

My system:

P4 2,6 GHz

2x512 mb dual Corsair 2.0 CAS DDR2 (very fast and nice memories, did wonders)

S-Ata HD

ATi Radeon 9600 Pro AGP
