Rather than medics, what about field dressings? Someone that gets wounded, and is taking a long time to bleed out, can call for a medic like they call for ammo now. Another player can come over to them and do a field dressing with the same type of code as the ammo resupply. That keeps the character alive, at his present levels, but doesn't get him any health or endurance back, so he can maintain his post until he can be relieved (or is killed, heroically).

Also, I love the idea of mines, supply trains, and even AI supply convoys, behind the lines, which can be disrupted to slow down enemy resupply.

More buildings between towns would be good, as well. Where are all the farmhouses and barns, in the European countryside?

BTW... Thanks, to the Rats, from a new player. This is an awesome game and I can't wait for it to get even better. ;)

yeah! that would be more simple to do and implement to the game... but i like separated things in simulators :D and this IS a simulator. actually mobile Spawn broke a big piece from it i think :( but then newbies couldnt stay in the game i think... :/

I wish there's friendly fire, would prevent people from just blindly charging in and more realistic.

That can be solved by an automated kick system if you deliberately shoot someone multiple times, and depends on what weapons too because bombs and grenades have a large radius and can kill a lot more at once.

There are a lot of fun things in here that'd be great to introduce (or bring back) to the game. I see a few that are already on our target list. Will keep you posted on progress, thanks for putting your time and effort into this Tom.

me and my friend were thinking about that field kitchen unit system.. atm it wouldnt be very helpful BUT, if we could get something to capture at snowy alps, for example axis holding a fortress there and they need field kitchen unit to keep people alive there because there is so long way to get anywhere without plane, and plane will be seen easily. oh.. and about MS, i dont know if it should be turned off working if this field kitchen unit and capturable alps cames, because if we stop MS working (giving ammos tho..) it will increase realism and teamwork very much, BUT... some newbies maybe dont play anymore because long dinstances or something.. (damn nowadays kids...)

BUT... if we get very very much people for example from steam, and we could vote for removing MS and getting these capturable alps and field kitchen units and if over 80% vote YES, i would do it. if under i will think about no, if under 60% i would say no, because then it will be risky for playerbase.

or so i think. i dont know if im telling random things but this was what i was talking with my friend and we are very exciting about it :)

im interested if CRS could do many different buildings in different towns... like churches..?

Some really great ideas here, tom, my personal favourites are the additional infantry weapons and player driven trains (maybe to run supply in or perhaps this could be used as a way to move flags??).

I also support the removal of FRU's.

i was thinking about emotes, if they have more time for animations, i would really like some unnecessary animations like:

- smoking cigarette (unlimited time, looping)

- just sitting on the ground (looping too)

- playing with gun or something

- maybe pee :D (but this could get maybe too serious joke as for younger players :DDDD)

- maybe drink coffee, water, eating? :)

So, i was thinking if CRS is making officer models for high ranked and HC players, and then NCO models for mission leaders without being HC player?

for example. german NCO would look a lot like this?

also the randomizing soldier body types (thin, normal, fat and muscular?) would be pretty cool too!

or what about make more different models like normal soldier, (remake, not so fat?) and then different for example lieutenant?

it could be used in tier 0 since it is one shot only weapon, and early tanks are a bit crappy :D

oh also...

Maybe MG42 on tripod? very accurate and deadly, almost unlimited ammo boxes... but slow to carry and set up? :) (Heavy MG)

also what about naval infantry models? these are German naval infantry!(Dark blue uniforms... etc, same kind of hat for lieutenants and or NCOs like in regular army?)

what about remaking existing weapons?

for example Kar98?

we currently have the one from bottom. so, i would like more the below one, OR if it is possible, the below one, the newer version of kar98k would be available after tier 3? or maybe even tier 2?

more about explosions....

now they are kinda "boring" smoke... most of them....

look at this video:

explosions should be more like these!

but maybe not too realistic, because fps drop?

maybe handgrenades should look like this:

btw... about explosion and gun sounds... like we now have "far away" sounds for explosions. if we get second or even 3rd different sounds for each handguns and tanks and ATGs etc... that would be so amazing and more immersive and realistic audioworld!

HEAVY MORTARS!?

here is german 120mm mortar... they would be slower to carry, but they could have better range and something? but they wouldnt be very accurate too?

i dont know the real specs of this but they usually are something like this:

Muzzle velocity: 116 - 290 m/sec

Max. rate of fire: up to 20 shots / minute

Min. range: 600 meters

Max. range: 5300 meters

Ammunition weight: 12.5 kg (HE)

Ammunition types: HE

i would love to have few friends to get barraging with these!!! :3

these would be cool to have if not heavy artillery guns too!

AI Towers? well, one player i know, said that one thing what makes him mad, is that "anything kills you, is player, when you die, you are killed by other player"

well.. he said he mostly gets killed by AI towers and ATGs.

i dont know if it is good or bad idea, but...

what if deleting AIs, and make AI towers usable for players? i know some people WILL be against this, because then the map is even harder to win or something, defence is harder... but, if we really get much more people to the game, it would be good because more variations into gameplay, more teamwork!?

Things that need to be modded in 'WWII OnLine' first are:

- Animation (this is what common player seen before his eyes 97% of time) - reloading, swing.

- Smoke, explosions, incluse increasing affecting the ability for all types of shells.

- Terrrain, that should be little bit more curved then now, with more trenches.

- Overall speed rate for persona.

- Fix eyesored huge tags all over battlefield.

THIS ALL DESCIBED ARE CALLING - GAMEPLAY. And people CAN and READY to pay for this, if GAMEPLAY is really perfect. Not for abstract 'being a hero', or 'support our project'.

Sad to say.

Trying estimate server pop using Game Monitor, it worked just 2 weeks or so after it was repaired (as it was announced in article). Now it down again and one and only way to estimate server popularity is Team Speak, where I see just 3-5 bodies last 2 weeks.

This is as result.

RATs fixing anything, that need them for nostalgia (aka old buildings, structures, polishing game math, HQ faces, repainted tanks, and e.t.c.), but not something that is vital and really need for the project is now.

Look at the attendance and populated server and make conclusions ! No ! "... We working hard. This is priority. We running out of coders."

2015 year, a character can not even get over the tree trunk , not to mention even the fact that to get into/out the windows.

As result they forced to post weekly reports one by one, but when I'm joining Team Speak, seems people do not impressing much, it is not affect on popularity. May be i'm misstaken, and this just season issue (summer, warm sea, cold bear).

And I hope this is temporary.

they are going to rework the animations for all infantry and weapons as they said.

while you are making new old bunker, i would like this one too, it would be so nice to have at least 3 different types of AB bunkers, and different looking ABs?

I realize most people here probably will not like to hear this but none of the suggestions in the OP really matter. (I only flew over it, so apologies if i overlooked something. Also i didn't read the entire thread)

I played this game on the subscription basis a while ago but stopped pretty soon. Why? Too few players. This game has SUCH great potential but ONLY with a sufficient amount of players. And no matter how many new weapon models, factions, classes, vehicles, planes and gameplay elements you add.. People will NOT pay 15$ or even 5$ a month when there are alternatives out there which are equally as good in their own respective and completely free.

BGE has great potential to be the best combined arms tactical game out there but it simply lacks the playerbase. A proper free to play model perhaps with buying classes or vehicles you wish to use in a modular way OR a proper buy once model is the only way. AFTER that is established, you need to worry about marketing and getting the word out.

Also.. for a tactical game it plays way too chaotic and lonewolfish. Simply joining a squad is not a real solution as there are not always people available and also you often get the feeling of not being part of the community on a squad yet. So my suggestion: Proper ingame VOIP locally and in the mission channel. If you look at games like Project reality, this works really good with just a mumble plugin.

i agree with the mumble ingame VOIP thing, that would be amazing! and make game much more better.

but about the subscription model or something.... "buy once (and never again?)" model will not work with this game.. if we had it, this game would not be here anymore... for years ago...

but u didnt mention the time zones?? okay, it is true that there is not as many as few years ago, but in weekends and like that there usually is pretty good fights and so on, teamwork etc...
