I agree with adding some little pixels for Canada, they are in WWII just as much as British or USA even.Canada players are playing this game,to Simulate ww2 and play your home country would be a nice boost.(Axis player but i have friends and family members that play allied, and i did try to convince them play Axis, but like i was just saying, they want to play allied as if there really in a war playing for there Country.)

Maybe because I like to tank but a new persona within the army tab for armour. So maybe an infantry tab and an armoured/panzer tab.

More terrain, particularly mountains. We have enough coastlines, flat ground with some mountains. I think it will add more variety if we can get mountains that are rocky or rough with trees. To simulate the harshness of mountain terrain, I wonder if it is possible to make sprinting and walking have a higher penalty. And then we can establish a new troop type called mountain troop which has extra stamina and has its own special equipment.

hey, we already have mountains at alps, but we dont have anything to capture there, i would love if there was some fortresses or something "secret" bases and so on, and the mountains if they were a bit more separated, it would be amazing!

also i would love the mountain troops, but u know that it seems like infantry runs up the hills as fast as on flat ground, or if we watch from other view, they run it faster. so i would suggest to have EVERY infantry, to reduce speed of sprinting and others modes so that what more angle on the hill, the more speed is reduced.?

Maybe some stamina penalty as well, since climbing a mountain is physically demanding. And maybe those secret bases can be destroyed by ground troops to slow down research time? Now that I think of it, there should be gliders as well to take the troops there stealthily.

This should be moved to the suggestions-forum, made sticky and kept updated/expanded. Would save us a lot of repetition in that sub-forum and would give everyone a single place to check/add suggestions.

I love the idea of having the Finns in the game, although that would probably be a nightmare WRT their equipment. IIRC, they bought up vehicles wherever they could find them and were using everything from US Brewsters, Dutch Fokker XXIs, French MS406s to German 109s and captured Russian stuff. Probably much the same with armored vehicles and small-arms - even though I'm quite sure they had their own rifles, SMGs and certainly ATRs as well.

OTOH, I would imagine a lot of Finns flocking/returning to the game if they could play as their own nation in the conflict.. :)

Problem with Arty is that currently, rounds only have a pretty limited flight-time. IIRC, they "disappear" after around 3km of flight time.

I remember discussion about arty in the old days. Back then, CRS was planning on adding a "ballistics server" to the game to be able to track projectiles over longer distances. The standard answer was: Once we have that ballistics server in place, arty would follow.

Sadly, it never happened.

And yes: Artillery wouldn't make much sense if their shots would disappear after 3km or so. Even smaller guns could fire over much longer distances. Unless of course if it wouldn't be modeled as individual, player-controlled guns. Perhaps if we had "off-map"-artillery (like in "Combat Mission") that could be called in by mission-leaders or HC. No need for correctly modeled ballistics or flight-paths of shells - just have the server drop a bunch of randomly dispersed shots around the desired GPS-coordinates.

OTOH, any form of artillery could be a pretty serious game-breaker and fun-killer in WW2ONL ...

well... in winter war, we mostly had antitank weapons only few antitank cannons, and then molotow's cocktails... for armored... nah.. we had only one tank ready for combat lol. it was ****ty renault if i remember... also we had russian captured rifles "m/28 Pystykorva and some more variations of it. (modified mosin nagant, which appears to be one of the most accurate weapons still), also we had Lahti Saloranta "assault rifle" or something like that, but that was not very good for assaulting, its ammo capacity was not huge, it was better in defending point. here is some more info of weapons we used/had http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/RIFLES2.htm

but we had m-31 (suomi KP, SMG) which russians stole and made their own version called ppsh41... :)

aaand im not sure of the planes, but in whole war, we had like 2000 planes, USSR had about 80 000 or so? we had very much different kind of planes but one of them was not much usually. actually we have 2 DC-3's in finland and the one of them have been in flight condition for all the days after war, for finnish air company, and its still flying in finland and europe

i think this one is the most beautiful plane in the world because its "color" and shape :3

if you ever come to finland you should take a flight in this DC-3, i never been in airplane yet but some day i will fly in this one and i cant wait for it!

the second one damaged somewhat in the war, but last of its days of flying was in 50's or 60's... now its restored and almost ready to fly but im not sure if they going to fly it... these are pretty rare today. :D

i dont remember the numbers now but it was like that... also infantry, finland: about 300 000, USSR: 2 000 000

:)

i think artillery would be very fun in all forms, but if it was like like called from off-map. it would be boring because you see that in every game...

while you are making new old bunker, i would like this one too, it would be so nice to have at least 3 different types of AB bunkers, and different looking ABs?

watch?v=4Zpu-V8rDUg

also i would like those little "trenches" or fighting positions which i think was for AI ATGs? but just stretching them to trenches or something like that :)

and cps
