8 GB of memory recommended?

10 posts in this topic

did you make the switch to 64 bit?

how can you be using 8 GB of memory without 64bit ?

Game is still basically 32 bit but the crash flags were upped.

I only have 6 gigs and run it fine.

You will never regret having more memory. Windows uses it. The game uses it, Teamspeak uses it. Im running 12 and wish I had more.

I have 8 GB that not a problem.

I was just wondering how the game is able to utilize 8 GB of memory. I was under the impression that 32 bit applications could only access 4 GB of memory and that you needed to switch to 64 bit to make the integers needed to access more than 4 GB.

I have 8 on 64bit system but the game only use up to 2 if you add all the other things running on your window if you have 4 you are very close to top it.

Probably more like the machine might get constrained, especially with antivirus and other added products, and my understanding is Windows runs larger caches and buffers with more physical memory available.

Somewhere in this forum soneone suggested changing something on the ww2.exe program related to memory that helps improve my fps. Maybe someone can help me find it? I would appreciate it. :D

edit: nvm found it.
