Gunsight on stug3

7 posts in this topic

I just got a full keyboard so I can use the stag3 because on my small keyboard (without num pad) I couldn't use alternate keys. I've reset the key mapper to default and it works on all the armor except the stug (and come to think of it, also the 38t, but I didn't try the 38t yet. My default is "numbed ." How do I get the gunfight on the stug3?

I do know that it opens up a little hole for the gun sight to peak through. I don't think it will allow infantry to do anything (maybe the atr?) but it might make you weaker against enemy tanks?

Any axis tankers who can advise on this

The Stug main gun sight (when deployed) is a known aiming point when engaging a Stug. It is located just right of the main gun as you look at it.

I would only engage a Stug from the front with a Sherman M4A2 (75mm Gun) and below if I had no other option. If you are forced to engage frontally, the Main gun Sight is the recommended aim point.

I also recommend from the front on the left side(his right side) on the most outer plate as well. Especially in close quarters when its easy to aim there.

Hello again.

The Stug main gun sight (when deployed) is a known aiming point when engaging a Stug. It is located just right of the main gun as you look at it.

The view port on the StuG III B is just to the right and level with the gun, when looking at the vehicles front.

On the StuG III G the gun sight is deployed through a slot in the roof of the vehicle. The sight position is visible just to the front and right of the commander when he is deployed and looking forward. It is slightly curved.

Both the StuG III B and StuG III G sights must be deployed by the gunner before use.

Cheers
