Mac BootCamp upgrade from Win 7 to 10

2 posts in this topic

Has anybody upgraded Win 7 to 10 under Apple Bootcamp?

I am currently running Win 7 with Apple Bootcamp with no problems.

I see the free 10 upgrade ends on July 29th.

I went ahead and did the Win10 upgrade. Very easy and everything was working after the upgrade. No issues with WWIIOL.

I also removed the WWIIOL folders and did a fresh install of WWIIOL. No problems noted. Kept all of my settings in game.

My joystick settings were unchanged (CH Combatstick and Pedals). I had to make adjustments with the screen resolution. The System will upgrade your Apple Boot Camp to 6.1 after the win 10 upgrade.

Apple Boot Camp System requirements:

-- Make sure you can run Win10 on your Mac with Boot Camp (see Above)

- Make sure you have a genuine version of Win7 installed

--Start, Right Click on Computer, and select Properties

- Update Win7

- Current version of WWIIOL installed and running.

- Goto:

-- Select Upgrade now

- 3-4 Restarts required. Need to use the Option key to reboot back into Win10 each time

iMac Info:

  • iMac (27-inch, Late 2013)
  • MAC OS: 10.11.6 (El Capitan)
  • Processor: 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2 GB
  • TeamSpeak: (July 2016)
