XOOMThe infantry predictor code that was recently introduced brought in some sharp turns, and made some lower end ISP's more noticeable on the battlefield. You'll be hearing from the programmer that took point on that task as well as the QA lead to better understand what you're seeing and what we're doing about it. Our new Forums have been a big upgrade (by a factor of 10 years) but there were some initial performance issues that have been addressed making the speeds much better.

Just a thought, and this has shown to work for other games, for those players that are consistently having issues have they tried connecting VIA VPN?

Problem in these scenarios is often traffic shaping that the ISP is doing. TCP is more often shaped than UDP because the ISP can just drop UDP if they need to where as TCP will be re-sent till it gets through, hence the targeting for shaping.

Possible fix. Sign up for a VPN service that advertises gaming support.

What a VPN tunnel does is encapsulate your session between point A and point B making it significantly more difficult for the ISP to shape the traffic because they really have no idea what the traffic is. There are many ways to do traffic shaping but typically it gets deployed on a port or connection type basis so say port 80 traffic is for HTTP. A shaping rule would then be written to queue packets on port 80 etc.

This isn't a magic bullet that is guaranteed to work and ISP can in fact still shape VPN tunnels but they don't typically do this which is why connecting through a VPN tunnel has in some cases greatly improved connection quality in other games.

It's worth a shot for those having issues IMO.
